Last night/this morning.
Via DW:
A massive Russian military convoy consisting of hundreds of tanks, trucks, towed artillery pieces and support vehicles has been pictured slowly making its way toward Kyiv. Satellite images provided by the US company Maxar Technologies show the convoy spanning a distance of about 40 miles (65 kilometers).

Kill them all.
as I said earlier surely a bit of out of the box dirty thinking could interrupt it
e.g. Ukrainian lads fill a gang of commandeered 737’s to the brim and drop them from the ceiling? all directions evenly spaced out. guerilla tactics kamikaze very difficult to resist
no nato/geo complexity required
brutal but the c++t is dropping vacuum and cluster bombs like so a bit of shock and awe in reverse might clip their wings
….or an overturned truck loaded with straw could hold them back for a day or two!
I like your style.
Maybe the time in Moscow for the removal of Putin
With the majority of the war machine occupying Ukraine he is pretty vulnerable
Cast your mind back to WW1 and the removal of the tzar
This butchery must stop and I assume the military are well aware of the wrath of the Russian people and Russia as like us all are human and have morals
Nothing to see… Putin is just doing what anybody would do…don’t believe the Western lies…
… going to be another long day of nonsense in the comment section…
which is a lot better than a long day sitting in a basement getting shelled…
+1
Glad to see Ukraine is accepting foreign volunteers, will give a lot of brave boyos the chance to put their money where their mouths are.
There ye go.

The identity crisis caused by the fog of war. Probably the best balanced short literate read I’ve come across on the war thus far. File under – “it’s complicated Ivan”
Thanks for that wee read :)
Are any dumb westerners except Qtards still claiming that it is a suprisingly quiet war?
Hook, line and sinker.
Sad to report larg loss of Ukrainian soldiers in russian strike on the wires this am. I feel the attempted colour revolutions in Belarus and more recently Kazakhstan triggered Russia. Gits cant help being gits (hello nato ) as they say in economics when all else fails they bring you to war. Btw amazing amounts of weapons deals being done around the world ergo more money printing needed. Who would a thunk it!
people are getting killed. let’s be flippant about it. when is bodger/ soq going to weigh with “nothing to see here”?
Morality from anonymous on high.
If I were living along that road I’d open a sandwich bar
posted this in the wrong thread a mins ago – but it will be newsworthy later today methinks
I wonder how our working class heroes Messrs Wallace, Daly, Ming & McManus will vote this time as they voted against a much softer resolution 2 weeks ago. Greens abstained.
MEPs will not before time gather for an extraordinary session at noon to debate and vote on a resolution on the war. The resolution is hard-hitting, “condemning in the strongest possible terms the illegal, unprovoked and unjustified military aggression by the Russian Federation against and invasion of Ukraine, as well as the involvement of Belarus in this aggression against Ukraine. ”The resolution also backs a comprehensive list of measures — from “working towards” EU candidate status for Ukraine, to ensuring that the EU maintains a united front on sanctions, “without any exemptions induced by sectoral or national interests.” It also highlights “the need for Member States to acknowledge and accept that severe sanctions against the Russian Federation will unavoidably entail negative effects on their economic situation.”
My guess is that they will abstain.
I was wrong. They doubled down and voted against it.
The final vote: an overwhelming majority (637) of MEPs vote in favour of symbolic motion to speed up Ukraine’s candidacy of EU.
Only 13 MEPs vote against; Mick Wallace and Clare Daly have already confirmed they are among them.

One thing is for certain, Ukraine is no democracy. Zelenskyy shut down the three TV stations that dared opposite his polices. He arrested and imprisoned the leaders of the main opposition parties and for eight years has attacked the largest single Russian diaspora in the world.
So it is certainly not as claimed to be about the protection of democracy because because there was none to begin with, and if the EU think they have problems with Poland, wait until this boyo gets in- assuming he is still alive of course, which is unlikely.
So given that in such situations the aggressor is not necessarily the obvious and that Russia would have had a distinct attack advantage during the pandemic, their timing is strange- nobody seems to be able to answer ‘why now’?
Looking around, the answer may lie in Russia’s other actions, in particular what will be the global currency going forward. When you consider that both Hussain wanted to oil trade in Euros and Gadhafi wanted to oil trade in gold- both now involuntarily departed-, AND that Russia and China are now trading in Euros- this is a distinct possibility.

Oh and George Soros is supporting Ukraine, which is always a red flag.
Putin has been funding and arming pro-Russian seperatist groups in Ukraine – not Ukrainians of Russian extraction, but Russians who came in and took over – and has tried to destabilise and isolate Ukraine with propaganda and misinformation – democracies have the right to defend themselves from that sort of subversive, violent, anti-democratic activity by an outside agressor, or they stop being democracies and become parts of a totalitarian gagnster state with revanchist imperial ambitons
‘Oh and George Soros is supporting Ukraine, which is always a red flag.’
Yeah, one of the few billionaires – US oligarchs if you like – to support liberal and progressive causes is a real target for anti-semitic conspiracy theories, and in Putin’s version of denazification, the real victims of the Holocaust were Russian Christians at the hands of International Jewry.
Ah, Soros. A blast from the past eh? Is he the bad nazi or the bad Jew in this scenario?
More Fake News.
Zelenskyy shut down the three TV stations that dared opposite his polices. He arrested and imprisoned the leaders of the main opposition parties and for eight years has attacked the largest single Russian diaspora in the world.
Zelenskyy has only been president since 2019.
Before that he was an actor (granted he played the role of president). Jeez do you blame Billy Bob Thornton (the actor that played the US President in Love Actually) for the 2003 Iraq invasion?
My baseline assumption is this is untrue before people start foaming at the mouth – but it’s been posted “independently” in quite a few “reputable” places but caveat emptor as I had assumed they’d learnt lessons from the Afghan / Georgian and Chechen adventures and were using mobile crematoriums on this leg of the tour.
@TheDeadDistrict
The families of the Russian KIA soldiers will receive 11,000 Rubel (about USD 104.-).
To morrow the 11,000Rubel will be about USD 50$.
They said they have already secured 70 million rubles for this. Does it mean they admit close to 6,300 casualties?
India explores setting up rupee trade accounts with Russia to soften sanctions blow – sources
https://www.reuters.com/world/india/india-explores-setting-up-rupee-trade-accounts-with-russia-soften-sanctions-blow-2022-02-25/
Interestingly, India has refused to condemn Russia.
Because Ukraine voted against them at the UN over the Kashmir issue and most of the Indian army’s kit comes from Russia –
No one wants to be paid in INR or CNY for their goods – try setting up a CNY a/c even if you are a quasi sovereign entity (I know I spent two years trying back when it became part of SDR basket (Special Drawing Rights) – If you have an offshore a/c you have to use CNH – all commodities are priced in $ and the $ provides the plumbing to the world’s financial system in terms of funding, all FX crosses etc etc- ask Sberbank what its like to be completely cut off from the $ market.
Anyway if they are only “exploring”, it would take years to get up and running. The Russian counter to SWIFT SPFS has 26 banks after 8 years and most of them are useless as they are in former Soviet republics whose banks would be very nervous about shipping a similar ban
Did the US just lose 8 Biolabs in Ukraine, it seems rather likely.
Its a start but I think they all should be shut, globally, forever.
This guy has an interesting take on things, certainly not mainstream.

Looks like the M50 every morning, only with less aggressive drivers.
The shipping news is looking like a full force gale for for Putin as well. International shipping giant Maersk will stop shipping to Russian ports. Ouch – they represent about 25% of global freight capacity – you can’t just construct a merchant container fleet overnight – it would take years .
The degree to which Putin’s famed asymmetric warfare skills have run completely aground is wild. He is utterly losing the propaganda war, it’s not even close. Most of this war is being filtered through social media, where his trollfarms are supposed to dominate but plucky underdog Ukraine own the narrative.
Also, remember when the CIA greatly exaggerated the external threat posed by the USSR during the Cold War to justify their funding and their undermining of third world countries with progressive leaders? Putin may have been benefitiing from the long shadow of that sort of thing in terms of his military capabilities – he definitely has a LARGE military and it is formidable if you’re a small country that’s just been invaded, but:

Nord Stream 2 operator on the verge of bankruptcy.
Reuters cited unnamed sources in reporting that the Swiss company is considering filing for insolvency. Germany suspended certification of Nord Stream 2 after Russia invaded Ukraine. The U.S. then sanctioned the company.
There were those here who predicted Germany would reverse the NS2 decision !
