It’s A Long List

at

And you’re not on it.

Last night.

The list for candidates in the Dublin University By-Election – caused by the Dail election of Ivana Bacik last year – has been sent to voters.

Only those  who have received a degree from Trinity College Dublin are eligible to vote.

ESB writes:

The rotten borough brigade is at it again. Democracy for all college grads in Ireland, please.

Fight!

Why does Ali O’Shea have his full name on the ballot?
Is that a bid to get top spot?

Good spot. It’s part of the reason I’m never likely to get elected.

The name Rob Zee Wenker just puts me too far down the ballot.

Seanad is fierce popular these days…

“The rotten borough brigade is at it again. Democracy for all college grads in Ireland, please.”… or maybe all people…

Hazel Chu pops up at every ballot now I’m guessing? She should vanish into the abyss. Career driven airhead.

Hazel chewed up and spat out by the electorate.

At least Ivana Badchick has made such a difference since getting elected…

FFS Roy Basset – the Daily Excrement’s go to rent a quote machine for their weekly “Ireland on the brink” (of leaviing the EU / euro / joining the UK) disinformation bs- a complete traitorous sub Wallace braindead cretinous w*anker

Good Lord! A little intemperate perhaps …?? Certainly appears so in absence of any context.

Democracy for all college grads in Ireland, please.

You do have democracy to vote for a Dail Eireann, the lower house.
You fundamentally do not understand (probably because of your education) the purpose of the Seanad.

Trough seekers assemble! They’ll do well to beat Hazel Chu, she’s a veteran in the race to the trough, still hasn’t apologised to the male teachers in Cavan she defamed, quite the misandrist, some woman for one woman.

I just picture a bag of money in front of each other their pictures and their facial expressions make perfect sense.

I’d have a small wager on Hugo McNeill – strong campaign last time – sure he’ll have the lovely Jennifer Carroll Mac in the photos with him to appeal to the D2/D4/D8 /Dublin South/Dun Laoghaire set – which is 1/2 the electorate ! Anyone but traitorous pond life Bassett in my book

About a decade ago I voted Yes to abolish Seanad Éireann.

A decision I have yet to regret.

But remember what we were told? “A no vote is a vote for reform”. Those reforms must be coming along any day now. John Crown will be all over it I expect.

I’ll go Tom Clonan – He comes across as a very nice man and he works very hard to support the needs and views of the disabled community

  10. Donald duck

It’s time senators were elected by the people not the privileged or if not from the high echelons of academia qualify for laws that effect all us peasants.
