European leaders met in Versailles, Paris, France to discuss Russia’s invasion, as well as EU membership for Ukraine
This morning.
RTÉ reports the Government supported the fast-tracking of Ukraine’s application to join the European Union during talks at an informal EU summit in France.
Via RTÉ News:
However, the application for a swift accession procedure was blocked by several larger states, including France, Germany and the Netherlands.
Eastern states, including Lithuania, supported an expedited process.
In the early hours of this morning, EU leaders meeting in Versailles, issued a declaration on Ukraine which once again condemned Russian aggression.
However, it stopped far short of agreeing to the Ukrainian request to urgently begin the accession procedure.

Gwan the Paddies. Ukraines bestest friends.
There’s always been close ties between Ireland & Ukraine, they’re the poorest country in Europe after all & before the belt of the Keltick Tigger, our TDs hadn’t two houses to rub together.
The New York Times reported that the agricultural subsidies “underwrite oligarchs, mobsters, and far-right populists.” The corruption resides at the very top: “national leaders use the subsidies to enrich friends, political allies, and family members,” the paper reported.
“Structural and Cohesion Funds,” claim another third of the budget. These funds have helped lift the lagging regions of the EU. But as the European Commission itself recognises, these funds have long been associated with corruption through, for example, bribery and falsification of documents.

The New York Times could probably get an ointment or poultice to ease their allergy to the truth, maybe? Health, it’s everbody’s business, as Pfizer like to say & they’re pretty much the New York Times, too.
Irish politicians pretending that they actually mean something on the world stage.
On an unrelated issue. For the first time that I can recall my internet was censored. RT & Sputnick were blocked to all Europeans. They have chosen for us what is suitable to watch. This is huge and a milestone in the speedy erosion of our freedom. Next up will be the CBDC. The worlds central bankers are trialing their digital currency. This could mean complete control in how we choose (that word again) to spend our money. It will be programmable. One way in which inflation can be controlled is be giving money a time limit. For ex. if you have a hundred dollard in your account and inflation is rising, if you don’t spent it within the alotted time it will vanish. (China has already experimented with their own version recently, this coupled with their excellent surveilance network can mean total control of citizens actions and spending.)This will force people to spend thus putting more money into buying stuff and shielding against high inflation. Just one example. The future is dire in this instance. One solution, don’t use it. If there is low or no take up it cannot work. Together if unified we are more powerful than any government or mega corp. Peace.
The Pirate Bay has been blocked for many many years in Ireland, yet I accessed it last night.
TPB has never been blocked in Ireland, Dolly, it must be just you.
As a general security precaution you should be using a VPN when on the internet anyways Duncan and then, it is just a matter of switching over to a country that is not blocking it.
These people don’t seem to grasp the concept of The Streisand effect. If something or someone is banned or censored, it adds to their credibility these days, so we all then go to have a gander- because they usually have something of interest to say.
Credibility LOL
…says the town drunk, clean up on tread 1,2,3,4,……..
Ah, Johnny, you always add something to the pot, you’re like a cat defecating in the casserole.
The Duran (no, just once) has stayed up on YouTube by simply deleting their videos after a day or two, SOQ, the purple-haired, fat non-binary censorship enthusiasts at YT aren’t early risers, now they’re WFH. It’s very long-winded, at times, but a fantastic source of actual info.
The stranglehold of the likes of Fascistbook & that nest of little pencil-dick Nazi scumbags, Twitter has been broken by the Alt-tech revolution. Odysee has replaced YT, Gettr & Telegram have left Twitter in a pool of its own drooling subservience to the Master Race, it’s actually the best thing that’s happened to the internet since the internet.
ride me sideways, that was another one
I think we’d all just prefer if riding you sideways was left to your local tom-cat, TLC.
Saucer of milk?
Things have changed, Duncan, Fascism is the New Thing. You’ll just have to get used to it.
…40% animal feed has be imported, the killing fields indeed, the slaughter will begin shortly.
Sign up, Johnny, sign up. You don’t want to be left to starve to death, like, better just get it over with, chop-chop.
The world’s biggest grain exporter has invaded the world’s 5th biggest grain exporter, Ukraine, which will not be planting any wheat this year. The American scheme, to crash the dollar, is proceeding as planned, after which they’ll announce the Build Back Better New Normal Great Reset. Then, hopefully, we can Great Reset up gallows outside every parliament in The West, except for the EU Parliament in Brussels. Brussels is mostly Muslim now, so they’re going with beheading, instead. I suggested stoning, it’s my preferred method, but no dice.
I listened to almost 7 & a half minutes of that, time I will never get back but it was very revealing, nonetheless. Coveney thinks the radio dude is a minister, that was good, but Our Man In Bilderburg & Davos is not very good at talking & making sense at the same time, is he? He really sounded like he was doing the old harumphing about War Crimes by rote, he ended up giving the impression that, whatever Russia is doing in Ukraine, it clearly doesn’t include any War Crimes, which is not, I don’t think, what he intended to do.
He may be a Minister in the worst government the country’s ever had, inevitable given that we only used to have one of those sets of eejits riding us at a time but the lad can’t act, at all, at all.
He should stick to the day job, whatever that is.
Met a few guys last night out for a ride on their ponies, rather surly and impatient, not given to small-talk. They had no real interest in Cheltenham, but one tall guy started muttering under his breath about a leppo, and how the next time it would be done properly. I asked him what a leppo was but he ignored me, and they trotted on down the road.
