I took Goldenbrown and E’Matty’s advice the other day and filled up the motor.
Nearly 100 quid it cost me. Was about 75 around Covid times. :-|
Gonna keep it topped up now.
One of the best tips I ever got was emptying the car of unnecessary crap; why pay to cart extra weight everywhere? By the same token I only fill up half way because the cost of carting a full tank of juice everywhere makes no sense unless you’re going on a long journey.

Fill a few Jerry cans if driving with a full tank is a concern. Be prepared for the pumps to potentially stop for periods too though. If the grid is interrupted, pretty sure pumps stop working too.
Why are people complaining about petrol prices?
It was well flagged this would happen.
Supporting Ukraine (really the USA) in this phoney war will lead to higher fuel prices.
They’re complaining about “gouging” rather than the prices per se.
The filling station owners adding ha’pence to the pence, fumbling, greasy till etc.
