    A properly managed health service would be a more fitting memorial – there are enough wreaths in graveyards all over the country; ceremonies are superfluous – look good, lack substance but ultimately useless.

        Yeah, they could manage that – it’s ‘nice’, doesn’t demand long-term competence and commitment and, best of all, provides good photo opps … lovely stuff!

    No wreaths for the poor souls in nursing homes that had hundreds of what they call bed blockers shoved into their nursing homes untested for covid 19
    They did not stand a chance like prisoners in a home
    The major percentage of deaths came from that sector of the population infected in a rush to clear hospitals to treat victims of covid 19
    They seem to have short memories
