So you didn’t have freedom until they came along. Were you incarcerated and they helped you escape.

    2. Dinkum

      Who are these people ?
So far thanks to three jabs I have not contracted covid 19
I just wonder if the world is going through a reset
First a plague now WW3 becoming a distinct reality
All in the space of three years
I still would love to know exactly where that virus came from
And it was not from dining on bats

      1. K.Cavan

You reckon the fake vaccines stopped you from becoming infected? Even the manufacturers of the injections don’t claim that but you still believe it. You’re insane, Dinkum.

    1. SOQ

      You were wrong about masks
      You were wrong about lockdowns
You were wrong about vaccine efficacy
You are wrong about vaccine injuries

But still somehow, people who are demanding that the government relinquish powers that they should nave have taken in the first place- are the losers?

      On your bike.

        1. K.Cavan

Super Saturday, I’m afraid, Kim, would’ve been there, otherwise. You’re one sad sack, though. Always the reactionary, yet never right, you’re your own worst enemy & who could blame you?

          1. Kim Cardassian

Hahahahahahaha! An important issue for you but not that important so. Keep reading the conspiracy comics Costard, we get some laughs out of you

  1. Sara

This is so sad. While I actually hate them, I do feel sorry for them. So much wasted potential :-(

        1. ANO

Less stupid and more susceptible to misinformation.

Certainly wouldn’t hate them for that though I reserve the right to virtually point and laugh at them.

          1. ANO

If you read his posts from the weeks leading up to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine through to today then you can chart the impact of misinformation on him, that doesn’t necessarily make him stupid.

          2. SOQ

Huge marches in Brazil, Canada, Australia, Paris and Frankfurt on this very subject at the weekend. Are they all susceptible to misinformation? REALLY?

Did it ever occur to you that maybe those millions of protesting people can see something you cannot? In which case, who is really susceptible to misinformation?

          3. ANO

It’s not your fault SOQ, just maybe consider your sources a little better and spend less time online.

          4. SOQ

Are you saying there was not huge marches in Brazil, Canada, Australia, Paris and Frankfurt on this very subject at the weekend? I can provide links- you on the other hand were blissfully unaware I expect.

The main sources of misinformation during this whole pandemic charade were the legacy media- pharma funded lie after lie after lie.

          5. Nigel

‘Are they all susceptible to misinformation? REALLY? ‘

Either that or evryone else in the entire world is. Maybe an appeal to indredulity isn’t your best approach.

          1. jungleman

            Bit rich.

You, K, are without doubt the most horrible presence on BS since it’s inception. An aggressive, obnoxious bully of a commenter.

    1. K.Cavan

Why bother lying, Sara. This post is obviously completely fake & performative. I mean, why bother? You’re weird.

      1. Walter Ego

Have my minions not jabbed you yet?
Honestly how hard is it to jab someone in public.
        Their efforts have me worried.

        1. K.Cavan

Minions can’t have minions, Walter & you’re le filet de minions, prime meathead. I like your little fantasy-world, though, suits you.

  2. Nigel

Flashbacks to the EU conscript army and the chips on the back of the neck from the Treaty referendums.

    1. f_lawless

It really is Walter. Why is there such an apathetic attitude among the majority of the Irish public towards the protection of democratic rights, considering how much they’ve been undermined over the last two years? The complacency is a problem in other countries too but it seems that Ireland is among the worst.

      1. Walter Ego

You seem to have me confused with someone, who sides with these conspiracy loons.
        Scarlet for ya.

      2. K.Cavan

Lowest average IQs in Europe, flawless, history of colonisation, agrarian, backward, with an ugly petit bourgeoisie adding the half-pence to the pence, The Commitments were right. Ireland is like a Third World country that discovered oil, no culture, no art, every building that’s not a pig ugly lump was build by the Brits. Ironically, of course, we gave away what oil we found. A country run by boney-arsed bogmen civil servants who scraped a pass in the Leaving but get paid as if they had PhDs.

  3. Nilbert

When oh when oh when will this Iron Fist of Authoritarian Suppression be lifted from us????

Last week, I saw a sign that said masks were no longer madatory on public transport but were recommended.
    RECOMMENDED!!
In other words, you don’t HAVE to wear them, but if you DON’T, you’ll wake up in a GULAG!!!!!
We were warned about this on an hourly basis for a full year by SOQ, Micko, and all the other sages on here.
We didn’t listen, and here we are. In a full blown fascist dictatorship….
We never woke up, because we are sheeple.

    1. Micko

Pretty sure all I ever “warned” about was people being mentally damaged by lockdowns and restrictions and the end result of all that stuff and missed hospital appointments etc – ultimately being WAY worse then any virus.

Which going on the small number of individuals we all STILL see wearing masks outside…. ummm yup, I’m calling the mental damage confirmed.

But look, I’m a pretty happy guy nowadays. Thankfully the narrative changed and things have gone back to normal, work is back and stuff is great.

That and I wasn’t coerced into taking an emergency use medicine that I didn’t need.

Was a weird time for us all, and we should all reflect on our choices.

      La vita è bella…

      1. Nilbert

        No, that’s not the case.
During the most worst phase of the pandemic, when there was a highly infectious and dangerous variant, you proudly brageed about stomping into shops and thrusting your big bullying gurning gob in the face of cashiers who had no alternative to work in what were, for many, highly dangerous environments.
No-one would dare challenge you because of your big manly physique, you said.
You personified the selfish, igorant, bullying idiot.
As you say, the narrative changed. And now you would like to appear less aggressive on here.
        Well done.

        1. SOQ

Actually no there wasn’t- data from all over the word clearly shows that it was nowhere near as dangerous as the hysterical media claimed- and that and that things like masks and lockdowns made no difference.

Either way, what is done is done- so why would such powers be needed going forward?

        2. Micko

          “No, that’s not the case.”

Ummm… damn sure that it IS the case that I’M a happy guy now that everything is back to normal AND I got what I wanted in the end.

Plus that I was right that it was all for nothing and all it took not to give in to coersion it was a spine (and /or a pair of balls / ovaries).

Sure even SNL in the States are changing their tune.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2k6xroHtn-8

          1. Nigel

‘and all it took not to give in to coersion’

You left out the narcissism, survivor bias and a total commitment to ignoring everything that didn’t confirm your pre-formed convictions.

          2. Micko

“narcissism”? – Perhaps. But the internet amplifies a lot of our personality traits.

“survivor bias”? – Would ya get the fupp. Survivor bias – what rubbish. It’s not cancer.

“ignoring everything that didn’t confirm your pre-formed convictions”?

But, I was right in the end. And so were my “pre-formed convictions”

You’d have to ask yourself – What was it all for Nigel?

Who was saved? Was it ever really a threat to all the young people who’s lives YOU were complicit in damaging?

As I said above – we should all reflect on our choices.

          3. Nigel

            ‘It’s not cancer.’

            Textbook survivor bias.

‘But, I was right in the end’

            But… you weren’t?

            ‘Who was saved?’

Going by the mess in the US alone, quite a lot.

‘ Was it ever really a threat to all the young people who’s lives YOU were complicit in damaging? ‘

I don’t know, how damaging would it be to young people’s lives if the vulnerable people in their families succumbed? Is that something you’d prefer to be complicit in, or would you just wash your hands, with or without sanitiser?

          4. Micko

            “Textbook survivor bias”

You keep using that word I do not think it means what you think it means…

            Sincerely yours,

Micko* and the other 1,365,466 “Covid Survivors” in Ireland.

            ______

            “I don’t know”

That’s the smartest, most honest thing you’ve ever said here Nigel.

            ______

            * That’s right – I’m doing the third person thing now BABY!

          5. Johnny

..,Ummm… damn sure that it IS the case that I’M a happy guy now that everything is back to normal AND I got what I wanted in the end…,

Fear porn and panic merchant, got to bully lowly servers trying make a living,is now persona non grata in most local restaurants,so much winning.

          6. Nigel

            ‘You keep using that word’

Two words, and it definitely seems like you’re unfamiliar with them.

‘That’s the smartest, most honest thing you’ve ever said here Nigel. ‘

I refer you back to ‘ignoring everything that didn’t confirm your pre-formed convictions.’

          7. Micko

So…yer NOT a Princess Bride fan then Nigel. Inconceivable! ;-)

Ye know Johnny, when you put it like that, maybe the last two years wasn’t that bad for me after all…

          8. K.Cavan

Jeez, Nigel is on one today. Looks like he’s right about everything again & the facts are all wrong. Again.

        3. K.Cavan

Nilbert, shops would’ve been an absolutely deadly environment if there was a virulent plague about, the number of retail workers in hospital would’ve dwarfed any other profession.
Yet that didn’t happen, did it? That doesn’t make you wonder, no? Micko is right, Nilbert & you’re wrong, any other conclusion is untenable. Maybe you reckon RNA Viruses are allergic to perspex?

          1. Nigel

            Retail workers wore masks.

‘Yet that didn’t happen, did it?’

Didn’t it? How do you know? Why more retail workers than teachers or health care workers? Even the holes in your logic have holes.

          2. SOQ

There was no higher rates of illness in shop workers than the general public throughout what is regarded as the most virulent phase when masks and plastic shields were not available.

There is holes alright- but they are on the Covid Church’s side.

  4. Broadbag

They showed up in their…fives, maskflakes of Ireland fighting the good fight – at least that Japanese soldier on the island didn’t actually know the war was over, no such excuse for this lot, fighting shadows in a battle against truth and fact.

    1. Daisy Chainsaw

I love how these people think they’re worth wasting a microchip on! The phones where dey do der resurch and make de tiktoks are far more useful for tracking their movements and habits.

      1. Micko

You know that you’re the only person talking about microchips right…? :-|

Maybe read the people’s placards first.

Like a lot of emerging technologies, Digital ID might be a good thing or a bad thing.

        Who knows?

It might lift millions of poor people out of poverty and improve their access to medical care and services or it could give a ruling elite and even bigger stick to beat us all with.

The one thing that won’t help is labelling everyone who has concerns about such an emerging tech as morons.

Well, it’ll help you feel smarter of course.

        But that’s about it…

      1. K.Cavan

The irony of you posting that here probably goes over your head & around your shoulders, Ian but sure, what you don’t know can’t hurt you.

  5. Ian - oG

The makers of loud speakers/portable PA’s systems have had a real uptick in sales the last two years.

I have a feeling they might start spreading some misinfo to keep the sales going.

    You’ve been warned!

    1. K.Cavan

Given that the live music scene was decimated, putting a half-dozen PA guys I know of out of business permanently, I’m afraid you’re off up the wrong tree hill again, Ian. Have another go. You’re bound to make a point at some stage, even if it’s accidentally.

  6. Broadbag

    Conspiraloons:
    No! To Rule By Dictate.
    but also:
Yes! To Rule By Dictators (as long as they’re Russian).

    1. K.Cavan

Broadbag, you mistake a nuanced take on geo-political realities for support for Putin. I know you need to reduce all that confusing stuff in the Real World to a level a drug-addled simpleton understands so you can deal with it but at least try to pretend you know what you’re talking about. I don’t have any gra for Putin, he’s just started a war but the USA has started seven since Russia re-emerged from the Cold War & lost most of them, too. America & Europe failed to call time on NATO & now their time is up. The rest of the world considers us a joke, they have a point, we’re censoring people for claiming men can’t get pregnant or for blaming Covid vaccine injuries on Covid vaccines.

      1. Broadbag

So the US is bad therefore Russia can do what they want, 2 wrongs really do make a right, fantastic!

Also Ukraine and/or The West deserves it due to some gibberish about Nato, Da Vaxxx! (spiked yet?) and a good slice of transphobia just to complete the bingo card.

  7. K.Cavan

Reading the Covidians’ mewling gibberish, you find yourself admitting that Bill Gates has a point, after all. Maybe we need to correct for the dysgenics that has bred this bovine stupidity into humanity. These people are of no use, they lack even basic pattern recognition abilities or survival instincts, never mind critical thinking, imagination or similar higher mental capacities, their genes should be extinguished, for the benefit of the species.
Ultimately, we don’t need to run faster than the tiger, just faster than them.
It’s hard to deny that they might improve things, generally, by continuing to avoid socialising, staying masked & ensuring they & their progeny stay boosted. Perhaps they should be encouraged to become obese, avoid exercise, sunlight & a healthy diet? Perhaps a few of the real idiots might even consider volunteering to help defeat that madman, Putin?
Go on, girls & boys, you have nothing to lose but your lives & your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Ah Frilly, you should come drinking with me after a protest. There’s plainclothes cops trying to get into all the Anarchist Jihadi Bomb-Making Groups by sidling up to us & starting conversations. Everybody in the pub will have copped them (ahem!) but they don’t know that we know. Tis only bleedin’ hilarious.
Later, after a few scoops, we just tell them “F off, pig” but they have to keep up the pretence, so they can’t react. It’s cruel but fair.

        1. V aka Frilly Keane
