Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney, who is also Minister of Defence, has promised an “action plan” to rebuild the country’s depleted armed forces

There are people who think it makes sense
To plan for the worst
And put ourselves first
And spend a lot more on defence

  1. Mr. T

The very man who oversaw their depletion, along with Leo Varadkar.

Now defence has become the flavour of the month he says he’ll bravely step up and fix it.

He wouldn’t have needed one if he’d paid properly. Some employees having to get benefits in addition to pay? Shameful excuse of a Minister.
