The Ógra Towers Above You

at

Taniaste Leo Varadkar arriving to Cabinet in Dublin Castle this morning

This afternoon.

Via Independent.ie:

The membership of the Fianna Fáil youth wing has voted in support of a motion which called on party TDs “not to cast votes in favour of any individual seeking election to office of Taoiseach should said individual be under criminal investigation”.

The motion, which was before the Fianna Fáil Ógra National Youth Conference last weekend, also called on TDs “not to support said individuals to ministerial portfolios”.

Through the passing of the motion, the youth wing’s central office board will have to bring the same motion to the party’s ard fheis.

This means the membership of the entire Fianna Fáil party, as well as its ministers, TDs and senators, will vote on the motion at the party conference in several months’ time.

FIGHT!

Erm…party conferences are full of these nonsense motions brought purely to make a point and destined to fall well short of being passed, big fat nothing burger – which also sums up these weird ‘youth wings’ and their little cult members.

Bit different, this one. Anyone voting against such a motion (including current cabinet members) would basically be saying they’re fine with a potential criminal in the cabinet, i.e. corrupt. And on the record.

Of course they’re fine with a potential criminal in the cabinet. They’re Fianna Fail!

It’s rubbish without V in it. I won’t read it for free in Centra again.

    OTH

    “Fraud in Meath Transgender Rights”.

I’ll read it in SPAR so.

In fairness, the principle of innocent until proven guilty should apply here. (Note: I do not for a second believe he is innocent)

Otherwise you could make accusation and cause loads of bogus criminal investigations be opened and stop your political rivals from getting the top jobs. Blanket rules like Ogra FF (lol) proposal are a bad idea.

He had admitted giving the document to yer man.

The question that needs to be resolved is if any laws were broken.

…between this and the looneys in YFG…the greens are making them sound sensible…worse than trying to introduce new taxes…no wonder the geography teacher has been disappeared…
