A report into available properties for those on Housing Assistance Programme (HAP)

Meanwhile…

…Social Democrats Housing Spokesperson Cian O’Callaghan. said:

“The ‘Locked Out’ report reveals that the housing crisis is getting worse, not better. The number of properties, affordable for HAP tenants to rent, is virtually non-existent unless top-ups on the rent are provided.

“The Housing Minister claims the provision of affordable housing is a priority for the government, but where is the evidence of that?

“House prices and rents are exponentially increasing, while the number of properties available to rent is shrinking rapidly. HAP tenants, who are unable to pay the runaway rents now being quoted in every part of the country, are among those most at risk of becoming homeless.

The standard HAP rate, which has not been increased since 2016, must now be increased as a matter of urgency. However, the only way to really resolve this crisis is to seriously ramp up the supply of social, affordable and cost-rental homes. The Minister promised to do this. When will he deliver on those promises?”

still plenty of people who won’t deal with HAP because they can rent a property without advertising it publicly due to demand

What we need is a war here, rather than in the Ukraine, so that we can be refugees and go somewhere else and get a free bed in an indoor arena… luxury…

it’s just not like back in my day… oh wait it’s exactly like in my day… happy immigration 20 and 30 somethings…

We haven’t got a Housing Problem, we have a Mass Illegal Immigration problem. Both our own domestic immigration laws & several overarching EU laws are being deliberately & regularly broken by the State, in an effort to stay onside of the lunatic fringe who now dictate social policy in the crumbling Western democracies. 17,000 illegals were handed Irish passports, in direct contravention of our laws, this year, rather than being deported, yet no attempt was made to increase home provision to even cope with these, never mind addressing the needs of citizens.
We can’t even deport illegal immigrant rapists, since a Deportation Order, in Ireland, involves a judge telling you to leave, with no enforcement even attempted. Paddy & Patrica O’Wokie sure are an easy touch, these days, most of the Irish are too terrified to speak out or else delira and excira by the very idea that anyone would care to choose to live here, when our expensively-educated youngsters are still deserting the place in their thousands, seeing No Future for themselves in a nation that can’t even stand up for them selves or the rule of law, simply because some pimply-faced, purple-haired, obese gargoyle, writing for free in the Irish Times, told them that would be waaycist .
    Septic Isle.

So our non-functional housing market is getting worse, but the government feels we can house 200,000 more people.
Something isn’t adding up here, at least not for me.

The corporate overlords have handed down their orders. No investor in the property cartel shall be touched, and you will flood your country with cheap immigrant labour to keep wages low. The nation state is over
