Glass Bottle Site-after controlling it for 10 years FFG enters JV with Johnny Ronan (essentially in receivership) and out on bail Tom Barrack.
….Commanding a prime coastal position within Dublin city, Ronan Group and Oaktree are set to reimagine the 37-acre former Irish Glass Bottle site as a new..

Given the expected sea-level rise it seems like a pretty stupid place to build…that’s all reclaimed swamp land
…hold on I’m just heading catch a subway.
on second thoughts,of course you can build there, same as its safe catch a subway in NY.
the bigger enviro question is how clean is the site?
It’s a funny thing, Gavin, that these “expected sea-level rises” haven’t stopped many of the leaders of the Green Net Zero Carbon Waffle brigade from buying seaside mansions, isn’t it? Almost as if they don’t believe the crap they shovel down the throats of the gullible.
Poor Johnny too dumb to realise that his ‘signature look’ puts one in mind of a skunk.
I’d say if you got close enough to him, both physically and from a business and personal perspective you’d need a respirator the stink would be that strong.
The way it is going here I wonder when the US will be putting a bounty on him too?
his x controls O’Devenay (above) but whitewashed his lifelong partnership with the bold Johnny Ronan.
…He co-founded and owned 50% of a global real estate company employing over 1,000 professionals with operations in Ireland, UK, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Russia and China, where it was one ofthe leading foreign developers of commercial real estate, holding > US$ 2bn of assets….

Cheers Johnny, yer a gem!
the boys, the boys are back, back in town, thanks a million FFG for the state land.
Our new absentee landlords and as vicious as those in the days of British rule
I doubt it was worth all the violence since the establishment of our state to go back to be at the mercy of a new master and the downright rape of our people this time by vulture funds and an empire or reich whose laws supersede our own
Given O’Devaney’s close proximity to the park, the Criminal Courts, Parkgate Street and Heuston train / Luas, there is rich pickings to be made on that site.
It is no surprise that the vultures are in- vultures do what vultures do- but the point is that they should not have been allowed.
But, O’Devaney is not the only free site on Infirmary Road. The is quite a large empty land parcel owned by the Irish army running from Mountpellier Hill to Montpelier Gardens- which is the main entry into O Devaney btw. Why has that not been handed over for housing development?
You can see the scale of it here on the right-

Actually I stand corrected- according to a sign on the gates of that land patch it says ‘Dublin City Council Lands and Building’. So why all the hype and squabbling over O’Devaney but not a word about that?
There are certain groups who weild inordinate power within our society, the developers are Kings of The Wild Frontier but I was always puzzled by how the car dealers, basically a retail operation, actually got an entirely new tax introduced to save the public from buying from the UK, during the period they spent under the heel of the Brussels Bureaucrat Brigade, one of the very few benefits to consumers to arise from the Single Market.
As with the TV Licence, VRT was illegal under EU regulations & the state paid annual fines for maintaining it.
Anyone?
