Turkey will be known as Türkiye at the United Nations from now on, after it agreed to a formal request from Ankara
Well this news is shocking to see
They’re renaming the land of Turkey
As it’s too like the bird
Which seems quite absurd
It was never a problem for me

Nothing wrong with rebranding
Sure Kiev was rebranded
…wonder if the Russians will rename it…
They will not because in the next few weeks they will of achieved their objectives
Lavrov was aske by the french press regarding annexing the captured areas
He replied they will not
They will let the people living there decide their own future
So get ready for those breakaway states under Russian protection
It actually makes sense that Putin dose not want a long protracted war
He just wants the whole industrialised east of Ukraine under administration of a pro Russian regime
Just like little mini Belarusian satellite states
A modicum of very basic grammar would of serve you well you stupid brane.
i said it
Talking of Turkey and limericks who could forget Boris’ magnificent off-the-cuff effort that saw him win £1000.
There was a young fellow from Ankara,
Who was a terrific wankerer.
Till he sowed his wild oats, with the help of a goat,
But he didn’t even stop to thankera.

Splendid™
Can we just call it Turkey, yeah?
In the same was as we generally don’t call Germany Deutschland, I’m sure this will still be Turkey for most.
and how most people in The Netherlands don’t really mind people referring to their country as Holland despite Holland only being two parts of the country (Noord and Zuid Holland). They will correct you if they think you’re being rude though :)
When the shinners are in we’ll be renamed Éi-RA… I have just typed Kevin Myer’s worst nightmare…
