Hello you.

Bewildered Student writes:

Spotted that strange, unidentified brick chucker on a Sunday World video of Saturday’s protests [in Jobstown, Tallaght, Dublin]. This is him [in red] within a pebble’s throw of gardai, some undercover, before he launched his now famous vessel of hate… As you say: hmmm.

He’s a cheeky monkey.

Make no mistake.

Well, that’s good enough for me.

How do we know he’s near undercover cops, though? I wouldn’t put it past our Keystones to leave their hats on, but I can’t see it here.

It’s the tinfoil hats you need to keep an eye out for. I suspect there will be a rash of them any minute now…

      1. Mr. T.

Oh very good, the tinfoil hat comment. Well done. Barmen and taximen love that one, you know, people who know little about a lot.

Remember when broadsheet used to be a good independant news source with the odd funny story thrown in. Good times

        +1

First the anti-fluoride conspiracy theories, then the freeman-on-the-land, now this fuppin utter fantasy. It’s a damn shame, this used to be a good site.

  2. Pretendgineer

First you start repeating Freeman nonsense and now BS is trying to back it up with unverifiable, anonymously submitted ‘evidence’?

I suppose it’s time to find another website.

  3. Original Cynic

His face is clearly visible in other photos – I’m sure he will be identified, arrested and charged soon.

Not since the breaking of the 7th seal have we witnessed such chaos. I’ve done nothing but lament and gnash the teeth since.

      2. Gers

This article does not say that the man tossing the brick was arrested. No one knows if he has been arrested. Facts BS, Facts please.

“This does not say which photograph.”

Please provide proof that other photographs of different brick-throwing idiots on the day in question exist. Otherwise, let’s assume it was the Brick-Throwing idiot in the red jacket.

The girl in the Baggot Street Spar deli is always seen standing near a guard, do you think she’s undercover too???

  5. everybody

There he is clear as day with a bunch of plain cloths undercover cops.

    Sloppy move by the undercover…

  6. Rep

I am to take from that that everyone in those pictures who is not dressed as a garda is actually an undercover garda?

    1. everybody

No just the group of men who are undercover cops in rain jackets standing in front of the squad car, one of which is wearing a stab vest that says ‘Garda’ on the front.

      1. Sidewinder

Two of them are wearing stab vests with “garda” written on them front and back. Pretty shoddy undercover work.

        1. Mister Mister

Some of them are even wearing garda riot helmets in those vids, how did they think people wouldn’t notice they were undercover ?

SUNDAY WORLD, SUNDAY WORLD. Pity he didn’t get a root in the hole. Calling himself a journalist.

    The Peoples Paper indeed.

  8. Surely They Wouldn't Lie To Us

The “Brick thrower” hasn’t been arrested.
    I doubt he will!
and if any doubt the depths this government will stoop to they need a tin foil hat

    1. All the good ones fly south for winter

He was spotted along a remote part of the west coast, throwing rocks into the sea. Keeping sharp.

  9. Walter-Ego

There is a lot of anger out there, now who’s fault is that? Remembered “we all partied” according to Edna.

  10. TheDude

Something that seems to have got lost in the media frenzy\spin is that it was reported that Gardai were there to arrest a teenager with an oustanding warrant and that is what the riots\brick throwning were related to.

  11. Squiggleyjoop

I hope this ends up like Mission Impossible 2 where people keep pulling off their faces to reveal they actually have a different face.

  12. Goff

“Man throws brick at Garda car in Tallaght.” Other than the fact it happened at a water protest, it wouldn’t even make the news normally. Conspiracy theories are more fun though!

I have it on good authority from an ex-forum troll that used to also write reviews on TripAdvisor until he got found out for not having actually left his house since 1994 that Broadsheet are, in fact, undercover guards.
