Something is not right – how much political clout have the Gardai actually got?
It seems that they have far, far more than we are led to believe. In any other modern state, the bare minimum, if under investigation for the most serious of allegations, would be to step aside until an investigation is undertaken, it’s the bare minimum. Why not in this case? What are they afraid of?
