Well he’s not entirely wrong. For the most part healthcare is private in Ireland but backed up with large scale public funding. A lot of the larger public hospitals are run by trusts and / or voluntary orgs. The HSE does manage some directly. Wonder what the split per bed is? General Practice is very much private.
Anyways. Not that he knows the semantics, but the HSE is a very different beast to the NHS and ignorance aside, he’s kinda right.
