In the early 90’s, I was in my Dad’s car with Damo’s older brother Gary, we were giving him a lift and he told us that his younger brother Damien won a song competition and he had the winning song on cassette with him.
He popped the tape in the radio and gave us both a listen, we nodded and smiled jovially, as you do when someone plays music they have a stake in.
When he got out of the car, my Dad and I turned to each other and said “did you ever hear such a load of old crap in your entire life, that fellah is going nowhere!”
