I don’t believe people would stand for reimposition of restrictions at this point. More importantly they would conflict with the refugee agenda.

Project fear is still very much in effect, journalists hype up the fear factor for clicks, and social media is awash with calls for mandatory masks etc

      Some people cannot be helped

It is exactly the same Project Fear, just the focus has moved from “covid” to “ukraine”.

Too many people were rejecting the covid narrative, methinks, thus the new focus. But most of those who questioned the Covid narrative are not being taken in by the Ukraine narrative. They’ll have to do something really, really different – like telling us to plant food on our windowsills, the apocalypse is coming, and inflation is kicking off because the Russians are refusing to sell us oil. (Or is it us who are refusing to import it in solidarity with US producers who are going out of business?)

That said, the whole thing is totally Orwellian in concept.

You disbanded NEPHT you allowed mass gatherings you removed masks packed venues with people screaming and chanting not one foot apart at sporting venues (all you needed was a few with covid spreading it by spittle to ensure hundreds infected )
Before you locked us up like cattle you removed our civil rights you used scare tactics like a cattle prod then just dropped every safety measure as we were warned another strain was of concern
Now you have a problem and giving a clap for the HSE will not solve it

Now wait for lockdown number 500000000000000
Well done ex health minister and failed minister of every department you ran soon to be booted out at the next election

I am sure less people would have put up with the 2 years of bullying at a state level, if they only realised the UK government was spending 100s of millions on project fear and behavioural modification. I am sure Ireland took a leaf from the playbook or followed the lead as a minimum.

Ultimately for a disease that 99.7% of the population can survive, none of the restrictions were justified.

But it was never really about a disease, it is all about the great reset, and that program still marches on.

It’s heartening to see that when Leo starts waffling no-one pays him very much attention these days, too many lies have caught up with him, a busted flush now.

Sounds to me like he’s attempting to manufacture public consent for the perpetuation of government emergency powers that are set to expire at the end of the month.

    First, a superficially reassuring statement:

“AT THE MOMENT there’s no public health advice being given to us that we should re-introduce masks or re-impose restrictions..WE DON’T HAVE ANY PLANS to reimpose restrictions”

We’ve seen that kind of language time and time again. It’ doesn’t amount to much. In the not too distant future the plans could be different. If and when the emergency powers get extended next week, we’re not meant to get worked up about it : “ah sure, what’s the big deal – they said there’s no plans so it doesn’t affect me, I’ve other things to worry about at the moment”.

But what’s urgently needed is an independent review of these government measures. There’s already a wealth of empirical evidence available that they haven’t been viable as a response to Covid and have instead have caused a huge amount of collateral damage. Not going to happen though as government and health officials have their reputations at stake.

Then Varadkar disturbingly seems to be describing a scenario whereby the government will retain their emergency powers for years to come:

“Typically the flu season in Ireland runs from around Oct/Nov to the end of March. .In many ways Covid-19 is replacing the Flu as the main winter virus that effects us during the winter.. and sometimes it’s necessary to pare back and curtail elective activities. It’s not something we would like to see happen but certainly it’s better than seeing hundreds of people on trolleys”

This would be inline from his statements a couple of months back where he was describing Covid as a “long war” that may last “several years” and casually framing citizens fundamental rights as privileges to be granted access to on occasion:

Varadkar: “And perhaps in advance of those winters and those variants, we should try to have periods of freedom and give people a bit of a break, an opportunity to de-mob if you like, during this long war,”
