Two employees of the Passport Office have been arrested as part of an investigation into passport fraud.
It follows investigations by the Department of Foreign Affairs and gardaí.
The Passport Office launched an investigation in May after internal checks revealed irregularities regarding two passports that were being issued.
Superfan devotion or elaborate Garda sting operation?
YOU decide.

I was at the Springsteen gig in Cork last night and went for a few minutes to the food area around 8.30.A couple of lads had managed to move some barriers and snuck in. Over the next few minutes around 20-30 people got in and then security noticed and went down to stop them….

Top: Jake Clemons and Bruce Springsteen in Limerick last night and, above, Bruce and band performing American Skin (41 Shots), written after the police-shooting death of Amadou Diallo in New York City in 1999.
After the verdict in the Trayvon Martin trial was announced Saturday night, many Bruce Springsteen fans felt Bruce would play “American Skin (41 Shots)” at his next show, Tuesday in Limerick, Ireland. They were right.
According to my friend Lauren from New Jersey who was there, Bruce saw a sign earlier in the show for “American Skin” and played it later on.
“He said, ‘Where is that sign?’ and grabbed it.
He then said, ‘I want to send this one out as a letter back home. For justice for Trayvon Martin,’ “
