Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street, Dublin 8
This morning and this afternoon.
Some legal proceedings are continuing at the Criminal Courts of Justice on Parkgate Street, Dublin 8.
How’s that going?
Got sent a picture from the CCJ. It looks very crowded and there’s no distancing going on. Very unsafe for anyone in there.

Just by way of example, there are 80 of us standing / sitting around on the corridor / landing around the second floor. That obviously doesn’t include people in courtrooms. If told in advance what time slots we were due for, we’d at least be arriving in staggered numbers. #CCJ

Central Criminal Court sitting for case management which could easily done by email. No notice of list being staggered so everyone had to cram into court to be told orally. No hand sanatiser in/near courtroom. People here from all over country. Mess from @CourtsServiceIE #COVID19

I feel sorry for the prison guards, their life is hard enough at the moment without having to deal with cases @CourtsServiceIE could have adjourned wholesale / dealt with by email. Obviously bail matters are urgent, but routine matters still being dealt with @POAUnion

Oh.
Anyone?
UPDATE:
The Courts Service has acknowledged a ‘glitch’ in the situation this morning in relation to the criminal courts and how they’ve been dealing with #covid19 pic.twitter.com/6MX6Aniapo
