A mate’s missus works in an Australian planning office, and got this planning application in – this is the drawing, the written application is in handwriting on the underside. Phil Hogan would love this.

Ignore Hitler is the Tumblr of a Scottish artist known only as Michael who draws ‘unrelated fuhrers’ in the Pictionary-style app Draw Something.
Every picture suggests you ignore Hitler. Every picture contains Hitler. Therein lies the conceit.
Proud parent Michael, writing to Pleated Jeans sez:
“Last year my 6-year-old son was asked, ‘What would you do with a leprechaun if you caught him?’ This is what he drew. He’s holding the snare while a helper does the deed with a spear.”
No crock of gold for you, sunshine.

Incredible ‘line drawings’ executed in wire by self taught artist and illustrator Gavin Worth, who sez:
“By bending black wire into something of freestanding line drawings, I create sculptures that engage the viewer by involving them in their subtle changes,” Worth says. “When the light in the room shifts, so does the mood of the piece. A breeze might softly move an arm. My wire sculptures tell stories of simple human moments: a woman adjusting her hair, a face gazing from behind tightly wrapped arms, a mother gently cradling her baby. The honest, unguarded moments are the ones that I find to be the most beautiful.”
Draw and Fold Over is a site for fans of fold-over drawings (you know, where someone draws the head, folds the paper, the next person draws the body, folds over, and so on).
Drawings are sent by email, relayed between four people and everyone gets to see the finished piece when it’s done.
It’s all in a good cause: The Big Draw, an international museum and gallery promotion event taking place next October. Armagh County Museum has already signed up. IMMA? National Gallery? Glucksman? You could do the body, legs and feet, no?
