Next year today.

Nicole Buckler writes:

Old Moore’s Almanac is 253 years old and has been a stocking-filler since its inception. In 2016 our inhouse psychic predicted that 2016 was a year that would not be remembered fondly. And that was truly the sentiment by the end of the year.

The magazine holds on to its position as having one of the highest circulations of any indigenous magazine in the country. With a print run of 47,000 copies, it has enjoyed a revival in recent years due to its accurate predictions and its love of futurism.

Earlier this month we asked you to nominate your pet for a portrait by Jane Fogarty at PawPawPawPawPrints.

Jane creates vector images drawn on a graphics pad using Adobe Illustrator and prints on extremely high quality paper.

Dad of three Dee Cunniffe secured this dazzling portrait of Mimi (above), who was a beloved family cat for 10 years and sadly put down last month after an illness.

Thanks all.

PawPawPawPawPrints can look after all your animal portrait needs and only require a photo of your pet to deliver a memorable stocking filler.

Looking for Inspirational stocking fillers?

Charmaine Kenny at The Irish Workshop, online home of Irish-made crafts and what have you, writes:

It is no secret that the team here at The Irish Workshop are big fans of the inspirational messages of Fab Cow Design‘s quirky prints.

This little gem (above), titled “Cool Stuff to Believe In”, is topping our Christmas wishlist.

Fran, the illustrator behind the design says:

“Ghosts, magic, The Loch Ness Monster, E.T., are all pretty cool to believe in when you’re a kid (maybe even when you’re an adult) but nothing is cooler than believing in yourself.”

Fight!
