This morning.

Met Éireann issued a Status Yellow wind warning for the whole country for tomorrow from noon until midnight.

It also issued a Status Yellow rain warning for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford from 4am tomorrow morning until 7pm tomorrow evening.

Sigh.

Met Éireann issued a Status Yellow snow/ice warning for Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo from around midnight tonight until midnight tomorrow.

It’s also issued a Status Yellow wind warning for Donegal from 5pm this evening until 5pm tomorrow.

Heavy rain will spread from the south Thursday evening and night. Accumulations of 25 to 40mm will occur over a relatively short time period. Spot flooding is likely.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain for Connacht, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary, from 9pm tonight until noon tomorrow.

The rain may “turn to snow in parts for a time”.

On St Patrick’s Day, Sunday, the national outlook is that it will be a “cold and blustery day with sunny spells and passing showers, some with hail and thunder”.
