“People living near the Tolka river have reported hundreds of dead fish as a large amount of foam entered the waterway today. Large stretches of the river (above) was covered with thick white foam, presumably from some form of detergent. The river flowing through Griffith Park, between Glasnevin and Drumcondra, appears the worst affected, with dead fish littering the banks and floating on top of the water. Inland Fisheries Ireland has launched an investigation into the source of pollution….”
