I make Trad/Electronic songs in Manchester. This is video No.4 from the ‘Gap Series’. These are videos made for my EP ‘Jars in Rows’ but without my involvement in the process. Basically I’ve invited film makers to give their own visual interpretation of each song, entirely free from my input.
This video for sean-nós inspired ‘Another’s Tale’ was created by animator Freddie Leyden. The video, all 14GBs of it, is an incredibly detailed affair and is equally frantic, trippy and unnerving. I never thought I’d mention sean-nós and gigabytes in the same breath but there ya go!. ‘Jars in Rows’ EP is out now [link below].
Rews is an Irish/London based high energy alt-rock duo consisting of songstress Shauna Tohill (Irish) and beat-maker Collette Williams (London).
Shauna is responsible for one of the most recognisable Irish syncs of the last few years with the track ‘Can’t Keep Up’, which she wrote and performed with her previous band Silhouette, (used by Discover Northern Ireland).
Collette is also a hugely talented vocalist and musician and can be seen drumming in the video for Gabrielle Aplin’s current hit single ‘Sweet Nothing’.
