No Monster Club – Lemonade

The Dublin band (no strangers to the ‘sheet) say:

Lemonade came out this week and has already been featured as one of Nialler 9’s ‘best tracks of the week’, BBC Across the Line’s ‘track of the day’, and The Irish Times’ ‘new Irish music of the week’. It’s from the album ‘I Feel Magic‘, out on February 5…

Seamus Ruttledge – War Machine

Mike Casey writes:

A possible follow up to your Mick Wallace post earlier? ‘War Machine’ from Tuam, Co Galway-based Seamus Ruttledge is released today. It captures the current mood of a world weary from the images of war, from the rumours of war, from the conversation about war, from the terrible acts of war…

‘War Machine’ is produced by Willow Sea from the Galway Band ‘Grounds for Invasion’ and  features backing vocals by Tracy Friel and extracts from the farewell address of Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Wizards Of Firetop Mountain – Ain’t Gonna Lose

Tob Swift writes:

We’re a good time, high flying unsigned rock band from Dublin who have cobbled together a last minute, with a lot of help from our friends, a zero budget video, shot in a living room with a pool table as a high riser and bike lights as our lighting rig to launch the opening track from our new 12″ record, ‘Ain’t Gonna Lose’.

We chanced our arm and won and so the record features original cover art by “the” Jim Fitzpatrick of Thin Lizzy album art fame.

Our launch is tonight in Dublin’s Bello Bar with a stellar support lineup from the excellent trio of September Girls, Exploding Eyes and The Whole Sick. You can download the album here
