Nothing completes the weekend quite like a good chortle while perusing the Irish Times letters page.

And this should induce nothing like a good chortle.

Yes, it’s the wheel gaggers (again).

It’s two bewildered Carsons for the first effort, due to a combination of pithy content and a moniker which brings unpleasant memories of strong laxatives to mind.

Patrick “Paddy Pat” Judge tries his hand at a bit of paddywhackery and scores three vanilla Carsons (having come perilously close to a dreaded “Brendan O’Carrolls” rating).

Dear oh dear, they’ve done it again.

As if the Meath/Louth fiasco wasn’t bad enough (which led to an unprecedented level of audience participation).

This time it’s Kildare who took the hit, as both umpires somehow failed to notice Benny Coulter dawdling in the square while the ball made its way towards him.

At least he admitted as much after the match.

Coulter admits he was in square.

We’re just worried that he’ll convince his brother Phil to write a wee tune about it.
