Broadcaster Eamon Dunphy today accused businessman Denis O’Brien of “hating journalism” during his show on Newstalk, a radio station owned by the entrepreneur’s Communicorp group.

Dunphy, who announced he was quitting his job at the station this weekend, claimed that Newstalk staff were being “intimidated and blackguarded”.

His comments come after he told the Irish Daily Star  yesterday that he was leaving Newstalk due to “management interference”.

Yesterday, bbllbay updated:

Folks, I posted this early in the morning and I can not find the words to explain how I feel about all your comments. My wife has been crying for the last hour. I am very grateful for all your beautiful comments and creations. As a thank you to all of you I just donated a little amount to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

My brother is part of an art collective in Temple Bar.  He spent 4 days putting a mural on their gallery wall to cover a tag someone had left on it.

When the mural was nearing completion, a (we assume the same) tagger came back and sprayed over it again.  I made a little YouTube video of the progress.
