The Composite applies police composite sketch software to literary descriptions of fictional characters to create these creepy fantasy mugshots.

Above (from top, left to right): Keith Talent from London Fields, Emma Bovary from Madam Bovary, Humbert Humbert from Nabokov’s Lolita and Edward Rochester from Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre.

The project’s at an early stage but several new characters including Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in the Rye are under construction, and suggestions for future composites are accepted (supported by suitably descriptive literary passages).

234m above the streets of Perth, construction workers on City Square Tower recreate the famous 1932 photo taken on the 69th floor of the GE Building in Manhattan.

These lads are tethered with harnesses and wearing safety gear. Their predecessors in NYC wore flat caps and were attached to the beam by their bad asses alone.

Still. Go steel monkeys!
