From Political Scrapbook

A UKIP MEP has admitted being “drugged up” on a cocktail of alcohol and prescription painkillers while making a speech in the European Parliament. Godfrey Bloom  stumped colleagues in Strasbourg last week, interrupting a debate on sport with a bizarre question about a university rugby club. Departing from his usually brisk and coherent delivery, Godfrey slurred his words as Tory MEP Emma McClarkin shook her head.

But safe now.

From Dublin SPCA:

Meet Maurice, the 3-week-Old Jack Russell terrier puppy. The DSPCA received a call on Friday from a member of the public who found this little fella in their back garden. He had been thrown over the wall during the night. It was a wonder he survived the night as temperatures were below freezing.

The new music video from OK Go, made in partnership with Chevrolet. OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins.

Thanks Brian

A friend of Paul writes:

The Last CCTV footage they have of Paul was from Eurospar on the Ballymun Road and that was at about 16:05. His apartment has been searched in campus and nothing. Hopefully today CCTV of Dublin Bus can be searched in the hope he got a bus somewhere. His online accounts are being monitored in case he does log on. Would you mind sharing this on your website and asking as many people to share it online?
