John Breslin of DCTV  writes;

I think you might be up for having a look at this video – A Joyful Slog. It’s a documentary we’ve recently finished that looks at the continued growth of a DIY music culture in Dublin over the last few years. It’s part of the Community of Independents project we’ve been broadcasting on DCTV, you can watch lots of videos we’ve produced here. We’re launching the second season of our volunteer-made studio show at the end of the month. Danny Carroll and Aoife Barry will be presenting the shows.

Available in July.

Strange Passion  features 14 songs by the “hitherto undervalued likes of Virgin Prunes, Dogmatic Element, SM Corporation, Stano and The Peridots, spanning dystopian minimal synth, oddball gothic punk and jangly, female-fronted new wave.”

“…There’s an urgent, stripped-down aesthetic shared by all the constituent tracks, but nonetheless the variety on display is astonishing…”
