Speaking afterwards, an angry Lord Mayor said he never considered abandoning the meeting. “I will not succumb to mob rule and that is what we had here tonight,” he said.
However, Socialist Party councillor Mick Barry, who is a member of the Campaign Against Household and Water Taxes, called on the Lord Mayor to withdraw his ‘mob’ remark.
“This was the ordinary, decent people of Cork and their voices must be listened to,” said Cllr Barry.

Anger Over Mayor’s Mob Rule Comment (Cork Evening Echo)

We went to check the availability of a domain on domainregistry.ie today and saw this.

They had a “security incident on Tuesday 9 October” and today their site is still not fully functioning.

That was the same day that google.ie and yahoo.ie were temporarily
unavailable.

It went largely unreported in mainstream Irish media.

The India Times were on the case though.

Potentially, any .ie website could have been re-directed.

Why was this so low key in Irish media? And what does this say about the security of our national interweb infrastructure?

Anyone?

Coming soon.

Yes, we went there.

When journalist Abbie Marshall needs to get out of Honduras fast, a private jet carrying a Hollywood a-lister is an offer she can’t refuse. She has a ride home if she covers a lifestyle story for her newspaper – an interview with Jack Winter, notorious womaniser and all round bad boy.

Jack hits on her shamelessly as soon as they meet, making Abbie determined to keep her distance. When their plane crashes in the Honduran jungle, they must fight against nature as they make their way to safety.  Away from the cameras, Jack reveals another side of himself, his tough guy image is more than just an act and he prefers his pleasure mixed with pain.   A brush with danger in the jungle leads to the most explosive sexual encounters of either of their lives.
