Buncrana Cinema in the former St Mary’s Church, Buncrana, Inishowen, Co Donegal
Delighted that Buncrana Cinema will not be screening ‘Fifty Shades’ [Despite being listed in the ‘coming up’ section on the cinema’s website] Christian campaigner Mary Doherty, who lives in Bucnrana, , described it as a ‘pornographic’ film which ‘portrays and accepts sexual violence against women’.
Initially fearing that the film would be shown however, Ms Doherty said it would be ‘scandalous’ to show such a film under the church’s roof.

No ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ for Buncrana (, Innisowen Independent)

The first photograph of Jamie Dornan in character as Christian Grey has been revealed – along with an amusing admission the Co Down actor was in his pyjamas when he got the big phonecall from Hollywood. Dornan, 31, posed with co-star Dakota Johnson, playing Anastasia Steele in the much-hyped Fifty Shades of Grey movie, for the front cover of US magazine Entertainment Weekly.
Splendid.
But does the Irish Christian Grey pull YOUR drawstring bottoms?
Yes, we went there.
When journalist Abbie Marshall needs to get out of Honduras fast, a private jet carrying a Hollywood a-lister is an offer she can’t refuse. She has a ride home if she covers a lifestyle story for her newspaper – an interview with Jack Winter, notorious womaniser and all round bad boy.
Jack hits on her shamelessly as soon as they meet, making Abbie determined to keep her distance. When their plane crashes in the Honduran jungle, they must fight against nature as they make their way to safety. Away from the cameras, Jack reveals another side of himself, his tough guy image is more than just an act and he prefers his pleasure mixed with pain. A brush with danger in the jungle leads to the most explosive sexual encounters of either of their lives.
