Holding Up The Job

Sinn Féin Deputy Peadar Tóibín threatened to hold up the Workplace Relations Bill 2014 in respect of the dispute at Kishogue, Lucan. The Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Committee are meeting this afternoon to make amendments to the existing legislation.

Bricklayers in Kishogue were reportedly being paid less than €5 per hour.

There are numerous amendments proposed in the Bill and if the deputy so wishes he can call a vote on each amendment which will take up to eight minutes per vote.

Hero or zero?

YOU decide.

    He’s a Zero!

The Workplace Relations Bill has nothing to do with the Kishogue Dispute, if anything its just Socialist Bandstanding by Sinn Fein (they are so pathetic)

If anything the Workplace Relations Bill will speed up the resolution process.

Can you imagine what these lunatics would be like if they got their hands on power?

    1. Unreconstructed

If these “lunatics” were in power, workers would be paid more than 5 euro an hour? Sounds terrible…

    Well done Peadar.

You can be sure people will be aware of what these workers are going through after your attendance today.

  3. Just sayin'

Looks like another SF publicity stunt. The Bill passed Committee Stage yesterday after plenty of huffing and puffing. So much for 22 hours.

Also, Mick Wallace is a member of that committee and couldn’t be bothered showing up. As far as I can see, he never turns up.
