Can you not go without for one day?

Would your readers be aware of anywhere open in Dublin city centre, on Christmas Eve. Not interested in the ‘can’t you go one day?’ debate, or ‘staff deserve time off’ etc. Just seeing if there is anywhere alive on the 24th up to 10-11pm.Thanks and happy holidays to you
Anyone?

Can you not go without for one day?
Staff deserve some time off also
Thats crazy talk.
Aren’t most pubs open Christmas Eve?
That’s what I thought. I used to go to Doyle’s on Christmas Eve and they’d serve up until midnight.
Yep all are pretty much, but most close earlier than usual, 7pm-ish.
Yeah I always thought Christmas Eve was one of the biggest piss-ups of the year.
Nope. Last year lots were closed or kicked us out at 7pm.
Went for a curry before catching the last bus home.
I’m from a village in the UK and everyone would go out on Christmas Eve until midnight. Like New Year’s Eve when the clock struck 12.
All local pubs are open normal hours.
I believe most close at 10pm/11pm
I’m sure if you check a bars twitter feed they’ll tell you if they are open or not. I imagine there will be a fair amount open, they always are down the country!
They had to move midnight mass from midnight to 8pm in my home town because people were going to it pissed!
Yep, same here Sheila, last midnight mass was in 1985 down our way. I remember it well, the priest was heckled, someone throw up over the balcony of the gallery, there was un-religious singing and the congregation was talking noisily amongst itself.
Best. Mass. Ever.
Unreligious singing? Those bastards!
…broke into a chorus of My Way straight after the Our Father
Divils for the snoring
That sounds brilliant. I might have stayed with the church if “feedback” (heckling) was encouraged during the service :)
going to midnight mass p1ssed is a christmas tradition, no? at least it was when i were a lad. i’ve not been in a good while, but like most i thought the boozers opened usual hours.
Must pubs in town close early because public transport tends to finish early.
Last year we had a lovely pint in Grogans. Full of happy people
Happy people in Groggies? Yer havina laff?
“Not interested in the ‘can’t you go one day?’ debate, or ‘staff deserve time off’ etc.”
Sean, I think if you are going to ask people for help or advice, it wouldn’t hurt to come across as a bit less of an ahole.
You shut your mouth!
if you want a pint that bad go and find out yourself instead of asking us to find out for you…..lazy bastard.
That’s the Christmas spirit.
Headliner bar is open until 10pm I believe. Food served until 8pm.
Great pub with a huge selection of craft beers on tap.

Try a muslim or jewish bar. They usually operate normal hours during Christmas.
The He-Brew or The Temple Bar Mitzvah?
The Mohammedinn.
The Mughahidín is a great Irish-Muslim pub
Nice use of the intifada.
Hee hee +1
You need to go local on Christmas Eve…….unless local is City Centre, then you need to go to the suburbs.
That’s why I was asking. I live on Parnell Street, everywhere, (except Murray’s on O’Connell Street was closed last two years.
Beerhouse is open untill 10/11 Im told. – Sorted
Go back to your club.
Pay up your annual dues and buy a ticket for the raffle.
