Backpackers and others on working holidays in Australia will be stung with higher income-tax bills as a result of tougher new rules. If that just eat ad pops up one more time by “accident”, telling me to download it. I’m deleting my broadsheet app.

Ads are fine, just don’t be pushy.

It’s the iPhone app. I’m fine with ads but I keep hitting it by accident and it opens and goes to download app. And sometimes it appears to do it with no prompt.

I’m fine with ads but stop trying to get ad numbers from clumsy idiots with large fingers.

      They are paying their taxes.

The tax free threshold is the same concept as a tax free allowance. If you’re in Australia for a year you’re not claiming a tax free allowance somewhere else, so it’s entirely unfair to remove it.

That tax back was a great help for the tour up the coast after working for a few months….so the Aussies got to keep mine after all
