Er…the crafters would tend to start work on their seasonal fare around now in time for pre-Christmas markets which kick off early November. If you look at sports such as soccer, rugby, tennis et al, qualification for major tournaments start at least a year in advance.
Can’t imagine there’s much of a profit margin if you’re using materials that come with an €8.19 magazine though.
its a marketing trick that loads of outlets use, they know by putting xmas stuff in very early, that people will tweet/share/whatever pics of it .. free advertising.
Why did they do it in pre-internet days then….. hmmmm
