Aye that, doing a line leads to the harder commitments, like soul partners, or even the realy hard stuff…. marriage.
And there’s no coming back from that !

hopefully all of those who travelled home to vote in the referendum will again do so for the general election.

probably not , can’t beat being involved in a populist cause and that probably won’t transfer into actual politics which is a shame.

There’s a whole lot more of that constitution which needs reform.

Yay! A great thing to see.*
*do not remind me of this statement in years to come when I’m in the midst of a bitter divorce.

it’s already out of date. it needs to be changed to ‘marriage may be contracted in accordance with law by two people without regard to their facebook status’.

Two references to THE WHO in quick succession. Good work.
The sooner the end to the pointless four year stay on divorce post separation the better. For whom it benefits I do not know. Maybe Jesus benefits, he is the only party to which I can assume insists on this restriction, as the Catholic Church are those who do not support divorce and they I understand know Jesus. (although I have yet to meet anybody, parochial or lay person, whom have met Jesus, so it’s not even clear if this chap exists. Sounds like a “doer” a lot of people talk about him)
But back to real life and how and why a stay on divorce is insisted in 2015 is beyond the understanding of people whose marriage has not worked, for whatever reasoning. Once has to “sit on their hands” for four years to wait for the state to allow them get on with their respective lives. Who benefits. Nobody. But a lot of people are hurting and frustrated by this archaic process.

It is 4, I thought it was 5 years.
Anyways, yeah, definitely.
I think it’s to enforce the Catholic guilt thing..

We’ll just give yiz a few years to be sure to be sure that you’re really sure you don’t want to be married to that bottomhole/wagon. Sure it’s not like ye know your own mind or anything.
One little line. What was all the fuss about?
Well done to all involved in bringing about this change.
One little line is all it takes to be hooked forever

21st century PARTIALLY ARRIVES

Ha, bottomhole/ wagon!! – just spat out my coffee- sob!
Plenty of other issues need to be looked at; some less overtly controversial.
While I agree that it’s too long a cooling off period, reconcilliations do happen.
I think it’s four years out of the previous five year period.
Why two?
