   But, but… won’t someone please think of the buy to let landlords whose costs have gone up by 28% over the last few years and who have been struggling to make a profit over the past few years too… (from Morning Ireland earlier)

      Yeah, some of them subsidised their mortgage payments on top of the rental income in the bad days. Where was government then? People should be able to take out a 10 year mortgage on an apartment, kit it out to the lowest standard AND make a profit from people who can’t get mortgages. Only fair.

   Time to bring back Rent Tax Credit? It is due to expire in 2017 (like Mortgage Interest Relief) and has been closed to new entrants since 2010.

   Rent Control, stop greedy farmers renting out crumbling health hazzards to people who will never be able to buy their own home as long as they’re forking out 1,000+ in rent every month. The system is broken and needs to be fixed.. of course what are the chances of that?
