I love people blocking walkways and haranguing me about racism, it definitely makes me more sympathetic to their cause

    1. Lorcan Nagle

If someone getting in your way is enough to make you rethink your stance on racism, maybe the problem isn’t with them.

      1. bleeschmn

“I wasn’t going to be racist, but then someone’s placard nearly caught me on the nose. So now I hate blacks, and it’s all their fault.”

        1. Clampers Outside!

          Yep.

That’s pretty much how I see these ‘with us or agin us’ protesters too.

A few facts about racism, which countries are the most racist in their attitudes in the world today, etc…

Please note that this vid is presented by a young black male conservative and it’s on Rebel Media, so all the pretend anti-racist types probably won’t watch it, because truth butt-hurts them….

My god you really have become a drone for your betters.

Who’s arguing the US is the most racist country – who’s arguing that whites are the most racist?

            Seriously, who’s doing that?

          2. bleeschmn

I’m so impressed that you have an open mind and will listen to black people’s ideas when they’re telling you exactly what you want to hear.

          3. Clampers Outside!

I bet none of you watched that considering your comments.
To be sure, plse point out anything that is wrong in the facts given within that vid.

            – – – –

Ahjaysiz… the “whites” narrative by BLM purports that message very clearly. It’s not a “US” message its a “whites” message.

Bleeschm… that’s what you do with the liberal media. I have to find a medium which will give a balanced view. If you think I’m racist and that this video is racist… plse point out where and how.

            Taanentless…. Thank you ‘Dr’

@Clampers: It’s been amazing to see how much you personify the ignorant, “alt-right” fools who helped put Trump where he is today. As someone who only occasionally comments here but often scans the comments section, I’ve seen your name popping up under pretty much almost every article for years now, and at the start you were just some harmless Fr Dougal-esque figure: a bit dim, extremely banal and regularly missing the point. Your avatar was very handy because it served as a warning that the comment beside it was worth skipping.
However, like the dim “alt-right”ers, you seem to have found some sort of empowerment and target for your underlying anger in this anti-PC, anti-feminist, anti-decency climate that’s led to Trump’s election in the US, and it’s spurring you on to spreading that slurry against those you love to call “snowflakes”. You are the alt-right now, and as much as I couldn’t care less about what you choose to think, it’s quite remarkable to watch someone’s descent into “alt-right”dom, from harmless fool to righteous hate-spewing fool.
The meek have inherited the earth indeed, except they aren’t so meek now that they have a revolting, conniving role model who spouts random rubbish that they want to hear but that the role model barely believes in himself. I’ll bet you remain meek and weak in person.
            Sad really.

          5. bleeschmn

I did watch it, it was utter horsepoo. To save other people their time:
            – In one survey, people in less “white” countries where more likely to report that they wouldn’t want someone from a different race to live beside them. This is great, scientific data, because nobody in these whiter countries would ever conceal their racism.

It also makes the extensively documented racism in the US, from slavery, to lynching, to institutional racism, magically disappear.

            – According to 2 statistical data points, black americans commit more hate crimes per head than white americans.
This is used to say that black americans are more racist, despite the fact that hate crime law in the US covers: race, religion, ethnicity, disability, gender, age, sexuality, transgender status, political affiliation and homelessness.
Of the 10 possible categories, we are expected to believe that black perpetrators only ever committed crimes based on one of them.

In brief, anybody who uses this video in an argument is not somebody with whom I am equipped to debate, but not for the reason they would like to think, and more due to my limited access to crayons.

          6. realPolithicks

“so all the pretend anti-racist types probably won’t watch it, because truth butt-hurts them….”

That’s just pathetic Clampers, you sound like all the right wing morons over here. WTF happened to you?

          7. Clampers Outside!

            @bleeschmn
LOL at your attempts to pull that apart….. just LOL! I’ll come back to it later.

            – – – – –

            @LiamZero
Judgemental bullpoo from you, just because I don’t agree with the nonsense liberal left I must therefore be ‘alt-right’.

            More accusation and bullpoo.

I’m angry, I’m dim, I’m racist, I’m sexist, I’m alt-right… these are NOT arguments they’re are statements, and accusations that you have to back up with proof.

But every time I ask for proof of these accusations, all I get are more accusations.

Accusations are NOT arguments, please stop saying they are legitimate forms of debate they are not.
They are forms of delegitimizing the person you are supposedly debating, and does nothing to counter the argument.

You’re gonna need those crayons Liam. I think you’ll need all the crayons, good boy.

          8. LiamZero

I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings Clampers, genuinely. Perhaps away from this comments section you are a nice person but the persona you’ve adopted here is utterly revolting and that is what I’m pointing out. This persona that so many like you now feel legitimised into adopting, and that’s worrying to we who don’t fear women/those of other races and religions.
But as usual, you missed the point. Of course they weren’t arguments, of course they were statements. I was merely pointing out how you have gone from being a meek fool to a fool who spouts dangerous rhetoric. It’s clearly not that great a leap.
And if you need “proof”, for whatever reason, just go back and read your own comments. I really don’t have enough time left on this planet to waste it by going back and reading your old comments on Broadsheet.
You were merely a convenient illustration of a section of society that bemuses and bewilders me. And again, I’m sorry for upsetting you.
PS: Please don’t change that avatar.

          9. LiamZero

By the way, I really don’t understand what you are going on about with that garbled crayons remark, but then I suspect you don’t either. So at least we have that in common.

          10. Clampers Outside!

            @realPolithicks

“so all the pretend anti-racist types probably won’t watch it, because truth butt-hurts them….” True, not my shining moment. Sometimes I just get bored refuting these muppets and their bullpoo

          11. Clampers Outside!

@LiamZero Sorry Liam, the crayons were for someone else. Plse excuse that bit.

My feelings haven’t been hurt, not one iota. I feel sadness though. For you and your deluded ilk….

The rest of your latest comment is like this stuff….
“This persona that so many like you now feel legitimised into adopting, and that’s worrying to we who don’t fear women/those of other races and religions.”
            WTF… grow up !

I don’t fear women, I rally against the lies of feminism. Egalitarianism is more about equality than feminism has ever been. Nothing wrong with pushing back against the fake equality claims and lies of feminism when real equality can be fought for through egalitarianism.

Where have I attacked those of other races? More made up stuff.

Where have I attacked those of other religions? I have rallied against the nonsense side of Islam, but apparently just doing that is not allowed. This is liberal left nonsense for whom Christianity can be targeted for hate, but Islam is molly coddled.
Proof? The fact that anti-abortion groups who are not Islamic are being banned from Saturdays march but Islamic anti-abortion groups are not. Shove your double standards and blinkered view of the world where the sun don’t shine mate :)

It is clear that I have hurt your feelings and others like you. I’m not here to mind your feelings, so until you are able to actually prove your accusations, then that’s all they’ll ever be, accusations.

Sadly with other muppets in your echo chamber, that’s all that needs to be said for something to stick… just make the accusation. That’s the =fascist world you live in, where accusation is as good as proof of the crime.

You are a muppet for believing in such.

          12. LiamZero

@Clampers: You’re so quick to deny things that haven’t been said.
Anyway, this isn’t me debating with your points, it’s me critiquing what I see as your weird and very public slide into dangerous rhetoric, and how representative it is of a section of society that feel they have been given a boost by the “alt-right”. You were never someone who expressed opinions on the things you do now until the rise to prominence of “alt-right” thinking. That’s instructive.
Your responses as to my own beliefs are irrelevant because I haven’t really expressed them here so you’re punching at shadows for almost all of that last response.
And retorting “You haven’t hurt my feelings, I’ve clearly hurt YOUR feelings” is pretty weak.

          13. Taanbuaagam

As for this crap ” I rally against the lies of feminism”

Oh my days what a fupping gee-bag.

I’m so grateful to you for that, I mean who would protect me from the lies of feminism otherwise except for you my erstwhile Sir Galahad. Indeed I wouldn’t even know I was at risk from the lies of feminism without you, I am truly, truly forever grateful. When is the next rally?

Maybe we could build a wall around the lies of feminism? A great big wall it will be BEAUTIFUL!
And here’s an idea – we’ll get feminists to pay for it! They don’t send their best feminists.

Unlike some here I don’t really care either way of you’re feeling emboldened by the alt-right or whatever. To me you’re just a boring, offensive idiot who literally never shuts up. Take your fupping hated of 50% of the world population off
            Somewhere else creep.

          14. Clampers Outside

@Taanentless…. find one single anti-woman comment from me. One.

            You cannot.
Yet you continually accuse me of being a woman hater….hahahaha, you try to delegitimise, because you have nothing to say… nothing to prove your accusations.

You can call me a woman hater for attacking feminist lies around domestic violence, and feminism’s role in suppressing statistics and research into the larger picture of DV if you want.
But one need only look at the recent SAFEIreland conference on DV for proof of it. It is that simple, even you should be able to understand.

BTW, plse don’t assume I am doing this for you in some sort of Sr Galahad fashion, I’m not pet…. as much as you may wish it :)

        2. Nigel

Are you telling us that racism exists in other countries and cultures and races? Does literally anyone else know about this? HOLD EVERYTHING THIS IS HUGE! CANCEL ALL ANTI-RACISM EVERYWHERE! THIS MAKES THE RACISM OF THE MAN ABOUT TO TAKE OVER THE MOST POWERFUL POLITICAL OFFICE IN THE WORLD IRRELEVANT! ACTUAL LOLS WHY AM I SHOUTING? Sorry. Caps lock.

          1. Clampers Outside!

Mani is my Nemesis, and no one will take that from either of us…. I miss Mani… don’t know if you were around in those days Nigel.

He was one funny commenter… great quips, super put-downs, and a top wit :)

  2. Graham F

Despite the disruption and inconvenience, it’s worth it. The world – and Donald Trump – needs to be made understand exactly what the members of the European Network Against Racism Ireland (ENAR Ireland), the Immigrant Council of Ireland, The Union of Students in Ireland (USI), including Siona Cahi, the Migrant Rights Centre Ireland and other ENAR Ireland network member think about his inauguration.

      1. Lorcan Nagle

It’s less to send a message directly to Trump, and more to show support for the people who are in the most danger from his policies and the targets of the increase in violent bigotry since the election.

          1. ME-HEEE-KO

Para el noble pueblo de Irlanda – lo que hiciste hoy en tu pequeño puente significa mucho para nosotros. Te agradecemos.

          2. Listrade

            Wait a second… Margarita isn’t a million miles from margherita…

Sin Sal…an anagram of snails…just like the paedophillia speech in Spartacus! Snails or Oysters!

OMFG, even Broadsheet is in on Pizzagate.

    1. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

      Snigger.
Having said (uttered) that, someone has to do it. Keyboard warriors aren’t going to change the world.

  3. bleeschmn

I’m almost tempted to whataboutery, and am just about resisting.

The half of those listed who campaign for an end to Direct Provision when they’re not doing this, are more than all right by me, and I support their compassionate message.

The half who watch too much Friends and think they’re American, well…. at least they’re not out robbing cars?

    1. Rob_G

“The half of those listed who campaign for an end to Direct Provision when they’re not doing this…”

      – this is kind of the issue that I have with protests like this; protesting against Direct Provision makes much more sense, as it is something that these groups could actually change. Protesting about the President of another country who, while he may be an odious gobshite, won the election, seems a bit futile…

  4. DubLoony

Fair play to them. Things are going to get very rocky over next few years between the orange idiot and the brexiteers. We’re going to need all the love & solidarity we can muster.

    1. Clampers Outside!

The solidarity is only for the approved people.

So pro-life feminists are banned from being part of this selective solidarity… which isn’t real solidarity if selective, in all fairness.
      From CNN – http://edition.cnn.com/2017/01/17/opinions/prolife-and-feminist-under-trump-bachiochi-opinion/

Then again if you are anti-abortion but belong to an Islamist group, then you are OK.
      https://heatst.com/culture-wars/womens-march-on-washington-bans-pro-life-feminists-unless-theyre-muslim/

So, the so-called ‘solidarity’ message is, if you are anti-abortion you are not welcome at the march, unless your anti-abortion group is an Islamist group, then you are OK…

Fupp these tools back in the box.

      1. Lorcan Nagle

Aw man, if you’d said “Regressive Left” in there I would have gotten the centre square.

  5. Peter Dempsey

Is that true? The banning of the pro-life group but relenting to allow an Islamic pro-life one.

If so, then unshakeable proof of the left’s selective principles.
