Looks a real prospect to be fair, he’s having a great season.
Shame the way it’s been dragged out but no point dwelling, he’s gone.

  2. Bertie the Bollox

Presumably he wants to play in Euros 2020.Not much chance of that happening with Ireland.Mind you competition for places in England will be fierce.
    Good luck to him.

No shame in that decision. The shame is in Kilbane and company and their small minded attitude to a man who made the right and personal decision for himself.
I take it that Preston-born Kilbane isn’t a proud Englishman.

            * pauses by the jumpers for goalposts, wondering will the game end here… and the action pick up elsewhere… do I grab me jumper and lunch box or no…. tense…*

Last year v Turkey Rice said he had a tear in his eye during the Irish national anthem. Total hypocrite and Judas.
From a Footballing perspective I wish him all the bad luck that’s possible.

English man with English parents declares for England.

Shame he played for us a few times and then disapeared but there are worse crimes.

Maybe he can keep Jack Grealish company on the ‘almost made it’ bench.

in fairness to rice, he’s a good few levels above grealish. with luck, he’ll be midfield mainstay for England for the next 10 years. it’s disappointing but if he signs for arsenal, he’ll be alright in my eyes.

tbh looking forward to when rice takes off his english shirt after a match and displays the eire 32 tattoo that he has on his back

I absolutely get where kilbane is coming from, you should be proud to pull on the jersey. The. Singular. Granted he’s a good player but now I just want him and grealish to play against us and get beaten.

would bet my left nut that grealish will never play for england. Just hope that whoever is our manager when he comes sniffing in 5 or 6 years time tells him to do one.
