Moustache wearers, from left: Tom Selleck, Henry Cavill and Jamie Foxx

It’s happening, as I long feared
Now men turn their backs on the beard
But a hairy top lip
When the rest gets a clip
Will always strike me as plain weird.

    it’s mystifying that Henry Cavill continues to get work as an actor, he’s abysmal.
    Am I missing something?
    Is he a ride and just not my type?

      It really depends upon the role. He was excellent in The Man From UNCLE. Also had a short but memorable role in Stardust as a pompous fop.

            The Prince of Darkness himself, Marty Moustache, thanks for that one, locks down my point completely.

            Moustache = evil.

    Magnum’s looks proper
    Like he could play during Wexford

    Jamie Foxx’s now I dunno what ta’ make ov’ it
    It looks more like a narrow rim over his upper lip
    And not in the slightest bit manly

    Speaking of moustaches, when a picture of Lloyd George was shown during The Irish Revolution documentary last night, my wife commented that he looked like Marty Whelan.
