brilliant reporting !!
Thanks, Jerry, it just landed in our laps.
That’s what FG’s Tom Barry said!
Cars like that don’t belong in the ifsc tbh
It’s not a BMW, which as we all know is the preferred vehicle for the knobs who work in the IFSC.
As an aside, I have an ex who works in there. Make what you will of that.
You’re on fire today millie, I wonder if harry works there too?
Why does Broadshhet have the best stories?
Constant vigilance, Andrew, and a number of well-placed ‘snouts’.
That junction at the IFSC and Amiens street was a constant source of delay. Ban cars from the city centre.
Can’t wait to see how this ends!
I reckon they should attach modified snow ploughs to the front of the trams and gently shove the offending vehicles aside.
why gently
Less damage to the tram, and the hipsters won’t spill their double crema cafe lattes
Which is very important, of course.
All the while Instagramming the car as it goes grinding past the window
RAMMING SPEED…..

PROBABLY A CYCLIST
lol
I’d take the driver reg, use the Luas to nudge the car out of my way and then claim the Luas repairs on the car’s insurance.
Your solution is breaking many more laws than what was happening above!
true. in that case the laws should be amended to allow the Luas to do this, and full costs will be taken from the offending car owners.
No Cian, no they shouldn’t.
Be more careful parking then, Boj. If a moron blocks public transport that can’t go around it, it’s their own stupid fault if their car gets damaged.
I bet the luas driver wishes he had his lunch in a cooler bag there with him now!
#topical
No hubs. Pure undercover Garda car.
I thought they were all Mondeos?
they started moving to Hyundai’s a few years back..
It’s just a pity that the car in the picture is a Toyota Avensis…
Haha
Zing
Awww why didn’t you wait and take picture of the gomer coming back to the car looking all surprised that the Luas didn’t just go around.
Things like this is why socialism never works: it would be a good system if there were zero willy-woos in the world, but there are just enough willy-woos in the world, albeit a small number, to render the system completely unworkable.
And this system works?
I’m hardly a tankie but I fail to see the merit in your argument.
It works better (IMO) partially due to the fact that it acknowledges that, while human beings are more-or-less nice, when it comes down to it, everyone is looking out for #1, first and foremost.
Any ideology that is reliant on everyone being as high-minded and virtuous as the people who formulated that ideology is doomed to fail.
Nah, only some people are like that (“everyone is looking out for #1, first and foremost”) and you can usually gain a good insight into who is like that by the way they vote.
You’re a FG man, if I’m not mistaken?
Car driver abandons private vehicle in the way of public transport and Rob_G uses this to have a pop at socialism.
You ok, hun?
Not really having a pop at socialism, Bobby – more having a pop at human nature. Socialism is a great idea; the problem is that is needs to be implemented by humans, who are subject to each and every human weakness.
At 6pm the luas was still not passing by that area. Walked all the way home when I was already about to drop off. Bah
