The rent for this studio on the NCR has jumped by 20% (€156) in the space of a day. Though whatever algorithm Daft use states it’s jumped 13% (€104). Further to that why do online platforms allow adverts without any photos or address?

Lately daft has been getting a lot of hate, its not unwarranted bu it is futile. Were having a housing and accomodation crisis, the government couldeasily knock up ts own website and app to do exactly what dat does with the added benefit of complying with the law as well as a database of actual rents tied to eircodes. Landlords automatically registered, no tax dodging, no problem with HAP status, enforceable rent limit etc etc.
Why rely on (and complain about) a private sector profit motivated outfit to deal with what is very obviously a matter of public importance?
