Flattening The Curve

Last night.

“This is not just about honoring the votes of 74 million Americans who voted for me. It’s about ensuring that Americans can have faith in this election. And in all future elections.”

US President Donald Trump delivers a 46 minute speech on alleged voting fraud in the 2020 US Presidential Election.

President Trump displayed two slides of voting data during and after Election Day in Wisconsin and Michigan highlighting the ‘irregularities’ that happened in the middle of the night.

I usually find the best way to clean a dirty toilet is to nuke it with bleach, not too much, give it a good scrub with a toilet brush, and leave it for an hour. Job done.

there’s a nice industrial acid I used to get my team to use after American clients ( due to their annoying habit of ..if it’s yellow let it mellow, if it’s brown flush it down ) , which was ironic because they would rent especially because there was air-conditioning, then leave it on and the windows open all day.

  2. Dr.Fart

I actually tried to listen to all of that. after 20 minutes of whinging and lies I skipped on, and it’s the same unhinged nonsense all the way through. Such a moaney hole.

  3. Fanacht

If fairness Trump has repeatedly warned everybody but they all scream ‘baseless conspiracy’ whilst ignoring the facts (ballot dumps, fake voters, fake votes, votes counted in Germany by a company that is owned and controlled by Chinese interests… etc etc)

He warned everybody and even signed a special Election 2020 EO two years ago (12 federal agencies tasked with investigating foreign interference in the 2020 election and due to report by Dec 18, 2020.

Trump has given everybody invoved the chance to do the right thing. Nobody can complain they didn’t know there would be consequences – and yet they went ahead and tried to steal the election anyway.

    The fools…

      1. Fanacht

Ignore the evidence all you want Dav just don’t be surprised when 20 January 2021 comes around and Trump continues to be in office as President of the USA.

Assuming any other outcome at this point is willful delusion.

        1. ReproBertie

The “evidence” or, to put it another way, a litany of debunked conspiracy theories.

          What a man-baby.

        2. Papi

In other news, a worldwide lack of tinfoil has been reported in stores.
Moonbats have been sent to investigate.

Do you even have to ask that question? Anti vax, covid new world order. Save the children from adrenal farms. The guy is fully into it all.

I just find it hard to credit that anyone outside the agressively policed information bubbles of US Trump supporters really thinks there is any truth to it. The closest anyone has come to showing actual solid evidence of fraud is an unconvincing list of ‘red flags’ about how well Biden performed against expectations that would each be rolled out as a triumph of pwning the dumb libs if they applied to a right-wing candidate.

      1. Finbarr

Been on this site since its inception, first time commenting etc. used to get a bit of a laugh out of it and was quite informative in parts. Alas the pandemic it would seem (or something else) has messed up your mind/direction pretty severely or perhaps you have decided this is simply the best strategy to get hits/traffic.
Regardless I wont be waiting around to find out, my own mental health is beginning to suffer being on here and seeing the decline in rational thinking in my home country (albeit a small sample) is just too heart breaking for me. @ Commenter Nigel, dont know how you muster the energy but fair play to you! Bodger I wish you wellness and awareness, cheers for the odd laugh.

    1. ReproBertie

Trump warned everybody that he would not accept the results of the election if he didn’t win. That’s the only thing he was right about. His tantrum may hand the balance of power in the Senate to the Dems as his constant baseless claims of fraud in the Georgia election is putting Republicans off voting in the Senate run offs.

      48 days to go.

          1. ReproBertie

No, don’t just leave it there. Explain how your link overrules the results of the hand recount of votes in Georgia. Explain how your link proves 1 single claim about election fraud. Unleash the crack-hen!

Links should be used to back up facts, not in place of them.

          1. ReproBertie

What are you talking about? What has “influence” got to do with the repeatedly debunked conspiracy theories about electoral fraud?

          2. ReproBertie

Again, what are you talking about? Do you honestly think the Dominion voting machines were set to pass votes to Biden because Biden’s son owns part of a firm that owns a stake in Dominion?

I presume if this is the case then you can show no Republicans own any stake in any company that owns a stake in Dominion, right?

          3. Junkface

No evidence of voter fraud. What else is there to say? Maybe consider the fact the you could be more naive than you thought, if you believe anything from the world’s most successful conman? Who told everybody months ago how he intended to cheat in the election and undermine democracy.

Sagaar Enjeti is a republican leaning Washington specialist working for The Hill. Here he lays out all of the legal nonsense from Trump and his team.

          4. V AKA Frilly Keane

The risk (of influence) was present

            The actual risk exists

Whether it amounted to anything or not
            Is not up to me

The risk of influence is clearly established
And that is a Conflict of Interest

Unlike Ireland, Mericka has a zero tolerance approach to corporate misbehaviour
Madoff Enron execs, and enabling analysts and auditors etc
All wiped out plus prison time

            That would never happen here
            Lowry for example

What’ll happen to Deloittes when all the FAI durt comes out?
Nathin’ – a fine that’ll barely cause a ripple to them
            Anyone remember Andersons?

          5. Junkface

            V
Please explain what you mean by ‘influence’? What influence?

Is this not the same risk as in every democratic election?

          6. newsjustin

Your second to last post was so scatter-gun and incoherent I still don’t know if I understand what you’re getting at.

But you seem to be suggesting that the potential for (or risk of) election fraud (influence?) being present is relevant to the results of that election. Its good to point out these risks, but to prove election fraud took place you actually need evidence it happened (not just that it could have happened). To date the Trump Campaign and their intrepid supporters have failed to a comical degree in doing that, and in most cases have just not even tried to present any argument for fraud in actual courts.

          7. v AKA Frilly Keane

            Apologies
I meant to clear this up earlier – got sidetracked
            so

            Risk of Influence
            that’s all I said

            I didn’t mention election fraud
            at all
            You did NewsJustin

and since I trust @Fanachts link to CDM there
I’m using that to say the Risk of Influence is there
and according to that article, it is
            clearly
whether that Influence Risk amounted to anything is not for me to decide

its a disclosure item at the very least
a sticker on the side of each relevant voting machine would have done it
            and let the voter decide

Or if you all think that’s ridiculous, then, how about this as a very simple disclosure

did all the Secretaries of State for the State of etc
who are the State returning officers – or maybe its done at a more local level, District Returning officers
know that one of the Candidate’s has a direct relative who has a financial interest in the company being considered to provide voting machines in that location
like in the Company that tendered to provide the voting facilities for that District

If they did, fair enough, great in fact
that’s how it should be done

But it is a disclosure item

    Ah Donald Trump, remember him?

People can say what they like about him, but I found he brought a certain humour to his role.

Inadvertent humour perhaps, but funny IS funny.

    1. ReproBertie

Wait! She signed something saying that if she’s wrong then she could go to prison? Well case closed. Sorry Joe.

    Meanwhile
‘At least 2,760 people were reported dead from Covid-19 in the U.S. on Wednesday, more than on any other day since the pandemic began.’
    https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1334331202879320066

It’s going to be a 9-11 every day until Biden’s sworn in. Funny how our home-grown covid skeptics don’t invoke Trump’s laissez faire approach as a model to follow.

  6. f_lawless

Getting past one’s aversion for the Trump persona, it’s a valid point made that the electoral process was primed for the committing of fraud.

I recommend giving this interview with election pundit, Richard Baris, a watch. It’s the most lucid explanation of the case for election fraud that I’ve seen to date. He begins by making the point that all the states in which the controversy exists, are ones which used Covid-19 as a predicate to put a moratorium on election integrity laws, guidelines and verification procedures that have been long standing. He then forensically details the ways in which he believes the fraud was carried out and the post-election activities indicating a coverup taking place. Much more listenable than Trump!

    1. ReproBertie

“the electoral process was primed for the committing of fraud.”
And yet it was the most secure election in US history, according to the head of Cyber Security in the US, and there has been no evidence of any electoral fraud.

      1. dav

well obviously that head is lying – because he didn’t find evidence of fraud.
You see, anyone who says no fraud is a liar.
Life is very simple for the drumf-heads..

        1. newsjustin

Ditto the Atorney General – Barr. He said he didn’t find any evidence of significant fraud. But he was quickly reminded that he just hadn’t found it YET.

Gotta keep looking. Looking and claiming. Claiming and looking. Keep it up and ride that confusion to freedom.

          1. ReproBertie

“More” suggests there was previous evidence and yet none has been presented.

No doubt this video of the count centre is the smoking gun the crack hen has been waiting for and it will all come down like a house of cards. Aaaaaannnnnyyyyy day now….

          2. ReproBertie

Exactly. Me just saying it doesn’t make it so. The 80,000,000+ votes he got and the 6,000,000+ margin of victory over Trump giving him a 306-232 electoral college win makes it so.

          3. newsjustin

Fanacht, was that the drunk lady slurring her speech, who even Rudi Giuliani had to try to keep quiet because she was so crazy? That person?

          4. Fanacht

            80 million votes?

You realise just saying it doesn’t make it so?

And Trump is providing a lot of evidence to show why it isn’t so.

Where’s the Biden evidence to show those votes are legit?

If they were legit the Democrats should be eager to demonstrate that instead of demonically screaming “nothing to see here” (I paraphrase).

As for newsjustin – when you can’t depute the message you attack the messenger – A classic go-to for the loony-lefties.

Either way Trump’s legal team is presenting more evidence today in Nevada.

            Tick-Tock

          5. ReproBertie

“And Trump is providing a lot of evidence to show why it isn’t so.”

            No, he really isn’t.

We know the votes are legit because of all the election monitors and the count observers.

            Tick-tock is right. 47 days.

          6. ReproBertie

Indeed. How long will Trump and his supporters continue to live in denial? 47 days? Or will they continue to wail and moan for weeks and months after the new president is inaugurated?

          7. Nigel

‘Where’s the Biden evidence to show those votes are legit?

They have been declared legit by election officials at every level, and certified.

    2. Nigel

That the Democrats who warned about system vulnerabilities are now being accused of benefiting for them while the Republicans who resoloutely ignored them are now complaining about them is kind of a standard dynamic for US politics.

  7. ACI Question

Bet he copped to it all being a scam to do the dim-witted out of their cash around the half-hour mark, safe in the knowledge that no-one will have watched that far.

    1. Cian

In his lawsuit before the state Supreme Court, Trump was not alleging fraud.

Instead, he argued long-standing election practices were illegal and asked to throw out hundreds of thousands of votes in Dane and Milwaukee counties. He did not ask to toss votes in Republican parts of Wisconsin, even though ballots there were cast the same way.

      This is mind-boggling.
