Tributes have been paid to a Garda, who was subjected to a tirade of online abuse following a viral video posted by anti-mask campaigner Gemma O’Doherty.
Garda Alan Leblique, who was stationed in Dún Laoghaire in Dublin but was originally from Enniskillen, died suddenly on Monday. His funeral is due to take place this Monday.
Garda Leblique became the subject of intense online harassment after a confrontation with a conspiracy theorist last year. In the video, verbal abuse is levelled at Garda Leblique, with his ID number, F390, repeatedly mentioned, while he was doing his duty.
In the two-minute video posted online, Garda Leblique can be seen calmly interacting with a conspiracy theorist as they call for him to report to the Garda Ombudsman as well as mentioning his number. The person continually berates Garda Leblique while he remains calm and collected throughout the incident.

Genuine question – has anyone looked into the psychiatric state of people wrapped up in conspiracy cults? Is there a common thread? A decoupling from reality, a violent fixation on being right about something they are not qualified to offer an expert or scientific opinion on..is it people having an episode grouping with others having the same existential meltdown? Genuinely curious.
I believe there is a condition known as “psychosis by proxy”, or something similar.
O’Doherty and her walking tag-along corpse Waters are certainly still functional but I doubt one needs the requisite medical degree to realise something is seriously wrong. GOD is obviously more to be pitied than scorned and I cannot but think it won’t end well eventually. As for Waters, well he is like a cockroach and just when one thinks he is gone, out he will skuttle to feast on excrement of some sort or another. A survivor but in the worst way possible.

I see from VAT search .ie that GOD is registered for VAT? Why?!
If you supply goods/services over a certain amount you have to register for VAT, you can do it as an individual if you don’t want to register a company.

Ms O’Doherty said the Irish people and the economy were suffering as a result of draconian and unconstitutional measures brought in over an “alleged pandemic.” She asked if anyone actually knew somebody who had either died or caught Covid-19. She added that she was not happy to be asked, by Mr Justice Birmingham at outset of the hearing, to wear a mask in the courtroom. Ms O’Doherty said that masks did more harm than good, adding that they were a health risk and could cause illnesses including cancer. She also said more deaths were being caused by hospitals, which she has visited as part of her role as an investigative journalist, putting people onto ventilators in ICU units. She also questioned the use of methods such as social distancing, the accuracy of Covid-19 testing and the safety of Covid-19 vaccines, and if asymptomatic persons with Covid present a risk to others. Ms O’Doherty also questioned the accuracy of the official number of deaths attributed to Covid-19 claiming that person who died after “falling off a roof” was classified as deaths from the virus.

The original question posed on lock down was it constitunal , bearing in mind only 22 out of 166 newly elected TD’s passed hastily drawn up emergency legislation…..and a caretaker government at that. I see barrister Tracey o Mahoney is also challenging on fundamental freedoms. As for the tragic death of a member of An Garda -and suggesting o Doherty is partly responsible because of abuse he suffered on social media — it’s a very nasty allegation to make and those with such innuendos as every bit as bad as o Doherty is made out to be. Wait for facts rather than ugly speculation.
