Melanie Kevelighan writes:

We made dog friendly ice-pops, or pupsicles as we like to call them, by boiling chicken breasts and then freezing the water in ice-lolly shapes with a dental chew for the stick.

As you can see by their reactions, the dogs were delighted with the tasty and refreshing treat to cool them down.

Dogs Trust always recommends that owners check with their vet before giving their dogs any treats that they haven’t had before.

All of the dogs in our care that are waiting for their Forever Homes, including the ones seen in this video, can be viewed on our website (at link below)…

That guy in the top photo is a beaut. – no room at my inn now I’m afraid. Good luck homing all your guests.
My own dog thinks ice cubes with just water are fun, no additives necessary.
Never thought of fashioning a dog specific ice lolly though.
No sign of chicken stock in my house .

Buy a Kong, stuff it with mushed up banana and peanut butter. Freeze it and when it get’s a bit roasty outside for pups, let them at it. It’ll keep ’em busy for a while, and cool them down.
