Maybe include the ref in disciplinary actions too? Two balls on the pitch means the game needs to be stopped.
And that’s not mentioning not checking the VAR.

Could the disciplinary action be something like moving the Final to Milan or Rome?. Plus a fine of course.

went down to make a sangich for lunch there, and an english wan on the radio giving out at RTE’s commentary and how anti-english it was, so bad she had to turn it off.
tans – never not at it.

I watched the game with my daughter, she was amazed by how pro england the rte commentary team were?

Had a listen back to the English one on Liveline, she did herself no favours whatsoever.

I love major tournaments when you get to hear the opinion of people who probably haven’t watched a game since the 1979 FA cup final.

Have no clue about soccer, but blatant cheating in a major sporting tournament is disgusting. Didn’t Thierry Henri cheat and get away with it? Seems to be normal behaviour along with racism and hooligan violence.

Oh là là! Thanks for correcting ;)

We would apologise to the man himself but…

Delaney still would have taken the pocket change on our behalf…just like how FFG are giving our housing stock away on our behalf

        see how that works?

I still think that the best bit about that event came at the later event in South Africa. Charllze Theron was doing the practice run for setting the teams up before the official draw. When she pulled out France, she held it up, and called out “Ireland”.

The next day at the proper draw, she had been moved to the stadium draw. When FIFA president drew France as the team, he turned to her and asked if she has anything to say. She just smirked and said something like ‘Enough has been said already.’

Sadly I cannot find the link – it used be on a certain video sharing site, but I am not able to get it now.

Bit late to dicipline them after they’ve gotten through to the final due to cheating by fans and players!

They’re there on merit, churlish to argue otherwise.
Think Italy will beat them 2-0 on Sunday though.

      1. scottser

well, merit is one way of looking at it. another way might include cheating, easier run of fixtures against weakened opposition, home advantage and favourable referees.

But aside from all that Scottser…

(I do agree that the extra travel impacted on Denmark last night)

A Fine post match????…does not fix the error and no for Denmark.
Video reviews in rugby generally produce the correct result, while in association football its causes more chaos!

they may have dominated, for all their superiority they still had to rely on sterling channeling his inner Jacques Cousteau to get the goal they “deserved”. say no more.

They can touch all they want but they couldn’t put the ball in the net without a terrible referee decision. Spain probably touch the ball more than any team on the planet but it matters nowt. Denmark were the much better team in the first half. They then ran out of steam. They hadn’t the luxury of minimum travel and an easy passage to the final. If Thomas Muller had scored with that one on one chance in the last few minutes, ze Germans would have probably gone on to win. Let’s not get carried away, this is an ok England team, far from a great team.

Btw Charger. Over the course of this tournament, Spain, Denmark & Italy have had more touches in the opponents penalty areas than England. Interesting wha!?

  10. Charlie

Also Charger. England fans are the only shower to boo the opponents national anthems and then boo them during the game. Appalling!
