‘...Only journalists with the vaccine were allowed to attend the press conference where Callum Robinson, who plays for West Bromwich Albion in the Championship, appeared on Tuesday. Republic of Ireland Under-21 players were also warned earlier this week that they could miss out on international football unless they were vaccinated for a forthcoming game against Montenegro — which is on a UK red list — but as senior manager Stephen Kenny is adopting a flexible approach.
“We’re not in a position where we can insist on it and we have to respect individuals’s rights as well. That is something that we have to learn to live with,” Kenny said, after being asked would he consider not selecting a player who hadn’t been vaccinated. “That would be very, very strong and sort of be a fairly radical standpoint. At the moment I don’t think that I would do that.”
Asked how many of the current squad of 26 are vaccinated, Kenny replied: “I don’t have an exact number at the moment, but there are a number. A lot of them have been done recently.”

Robinson said: “There are managers and people that will want you to do it which is right in their way, the way they think, but everyone has their choice and what they want to do. I wouldn’t force people to do it. It’s your choice and your body.”

Immunity in Virology does not mean you’re virus proof or even that you’re slightly less likely to become infected, just that your immune system is well-equipped to deal with the infection, when it occurs.
Immunity only functions AFTER you’ve become infected, so many virologists prefer to call it Resistance because Immunity has a specific scientific meaning in Virology, though not in the media, just as a ”Case” means someone exhibiting symptoms in Medical Science but not in the media.
It’s not in any way akin to ”immunity from prosecution”.

The vaccine increases your immunity which means the virus is less successful in reproducing inside your body which means you shed less of the virus which means you are less likely to infect someone else. It doesn’t mean you can’t infect someone it means it is less likely.

@Cian Can I ask where you got the information that he was symptomatic after getting a positive PCR test result around two months ago? I read that back in Nov 2020 he developed Covid symptoms for a few days subsequent to a PCR positive test result, but can’t find any mention of him suffering Covid symptoms after the 2nd more recent positive test result. It’s been well documented at this point that the a positive PCR test alone is not enough to diagnose if someone has a Covid infection or not.
These particular vaccines don’t stop transmission. They were not even designed to do so. Natural immunity is far superior and that’s a well established fact at this stage.

The science is extremely clear that natural immunity provides far more defense than any vaccine. Like this isn’t remotely controversial at this stage, there have been multiple huge, published studies. ie:

They work by boosting your immune system which limits the viruses capacity to reproduce in your body. That means there is less of the virus to pass on.
Sorry, George, you just don’t understand the actual science. When infection occurs billions of viruses are produced, if it’s only three billion, rather than six, the chances of transmission to another host are barely impacted, even if it’s better for your health. The gene therapy injections are designed to protect you from the most serious results of infection, death, that was made abundantly clear by the manufacturers, the extra, miraculous properties you’re trying to ascribe are pure fantasy.
If just one of the billions of pathogens we ingest daily is a human virus which lands right way up on a permissive & susceptible cell, infection occurs, the cell will eventually burst & millions of virions will exit, to infect more cells & seek other hosts. Immunity is resistance to protect you, alone, from damage, your immune system does not exist or function to protect others. If it’s you versus any pathogen, you’re on your own.
