Tell me about it – i had a few as a teenager filled with rage and bad language and all kinds of stupid, self-absorbed navel-gazing nonsense (not much has changed). I hid them somewhere back in the home-place and now I have no idea where. It is for reasons of stupid, self-absorbed navel-gazing nonsense from the 14/15 year-old me that I would love to read them again, despite the doubtless cringe-inducing face-palming response I’d have to them. Gaeltacht and holiday-romances – the list is finite. I remember a final letter from a girl telling me that she could no longer write to me as her Mother was intercepting and reading my letters to her and Mother didn’t like the cut of my angry-teenager gib. Heart. Crushed.

I got ones from a mad ski instructor who’s chalet I preferred to the bunk beds my brother had sorted in UCPA, he compared me to a greyhound I remember,
I had a bundle from my x husband, our first year was long distance as I was finishing college, a beautiful mixture of pure filth, longing and love.
I had a few from a sort of fan/ stalker too, I’m glad I binned them :)
