A couple of weeks or a couple of months, who knows? It does not really matter though. Masks and all other restrictions will be an unpleasant memory in 6 months time for sure. Soon we can forget all about it (Except the nutjobs who believed these simple public health measures were all some sinister masterplan to destroy society – I’m curious how that lot will come to terms with how they were stupidly duped by Facebook trolls spouting nonsense)

      1. Cui Bono?

The scientific evidence shows that masks do not stop or slow the transmission of covid or similar viruses. Their use is for surgeons in a controlled operating theatre to stop blood splatter and bacterial infections. Stop ignoring the data and scientific studies that are available to view at any time.

After you’ve informed yourself on that, then you can start looking at the extreme money printing, biggest wealth transfer ever, media lies and misleading statistics to dupe the public. Over counting of covid deaths etc. Look at what the corrupt WHO are trying to get all nations to sign up to for the next pandemic.

You probably won’t bother doing any of it though because you prefer to outsource your thinking to people in authority.

“The scientific evidence shows that masks do not stop or slow the transmission of covid or similar viruses.”

          Wrong.

Are the teenagers the secret underground elite who have been orchestrating this? Tell us more, Oh Wise One.

      1. Micko

        Yeah sure.

Ah no, they’re actually the schoolchildren that we forced to wear ineffective pieces of cloth on their faces along with other ridiculous measures that stifled their development and lives, in a weird piece of security theatre in order to make cowardly grown ups feel safe.

Which I’m sure will have no repercussions in the future…

Christ, you mask cheerleaders actually congratulate yourself when the restrictions you supported are removed. There was never any justification for masking kids like these. You Covid lunatics even want these kids jabbed.

      1. andrew

The temporary restrictions that were always scheduled to be removed – the removal that you nutjobs said would never happen. The realization that you have been so badly misled must burn badly.

During the peak of the Covid pandemic, some chose to make small sacrifices, some chose to make big sacrifices and some chose not to make any at all.

As a member of that first group I certainly feel a sense of gratitude to those in the second.

How people judge their own behaviour during that period is up to them.

          What?!?!?!

So the government announced in March 2020 at the onset of a pandemic full of unknowns that it was deemed necessary to introduce a range of temporary restrictions on our freedoms in an effort to curb the spread of the virus. When doing so, they tell us that these restrictions are temporary and will be lifted as soon as possible.

Now, with the pandemic (fingers crossed!) behind us, the government is lifting the restrictions. Precisely as they said they would.

How exactly does that lead you to form the conclusion that those who did their part were in some way fooled?

    2. andrew

      Absolutely!!!!!

And ‘nearly everyone’ is right – had it been everyone, we likely would have been out of this months ago. It is odd that those who resisted and obstructed the various restrictions are the very ones who unknowingly extended them for everyone. And yet they claim to be the only ones capable of critical thinking!!!!

      1. Micko

        What waffle.

Omicron is milder and more transmissible and public mood changed when everyone started to get it. (And didn’t die)

        Nothing you did, did anything.

I recall hearing that public school classrooms in the US do not have windows to stop children gazing out in distraction. Is this true?

    1. George

300,000 in 3 months only makes any sense at all when you include the number of vaccines administered which you choose to omit. Most of these are mild temporary reactions like feeling nauseous.

“starting tomorrow we don’t have to wear masks anymore!”

    Tomorrow not today…

    Science!

You cannot argue with “The Science”

Poor kids should never have had to endure mask mandates.

I found out today that the Tae Kwon Do instructor that teaches my kids now has a heart issue. Fittest and strongest man I know, never drank or smoked, is now unable to take the booster shot because of his new irregular heart condition, that suddenly decided to manifest after three decades of athletic training. I am gutted for him as he is a lovely person and a family man.

Irish all cause mortality seems to be a good 10% up on average for the last few months, probably nothing to worry about though, its just the new normal.

Have all you Helen Lovejoys forgotten what it’s like to be a child, I wonder?

Every kid, especially in school, loves a good excuse to let rip and act the maggot. This is an excellent excuse. While I’m sure the kids find the masks onerous, as much as we adults do, if not more so, I think there are any number of other declarations that would result in a similar reaction.

Either way, that puts a smile on my face and brings back fond memories of schooldays. Have a great Friday everyone.

    1. K.Cavan

      “Any number of other declarations”
Ah, Millie, you had to have a little go, didn’t you? Sure kids, they’d be happy being told that any group of adults had finally started out on the long journey to maturity, to awareness & to realising what a big bunch of feckin’ eejits they’ve been. Still, vigilance might still be in order, enlightenment is not achieved easily for eejits, once an eejit, always an eejit, some say.
There’s loads of men in shiny suits who’d still love to inject the kids with their hastily-concocted toxic crap, they’ve become quite enamoured of the healthy bank balances the gene therapy shots have granted them & the high levels of immunity (from prosecution) they’ve been given. Even as we speak, labs are making breakthroughs in Fake Science & the results will be rushed to the Departments of Stupidity in every part of the MSM, for translation into sheep noises, for the masses.
Still, this must all be deeply traumatic for the Branch Covidians, the easy virtue signals have been withdrawn, the feeling of doing the (far) right thing will be a hard high to come down from, they’ll miss the little piece of high moral ground they imagined themselves to be squatting on, free crack pipes, anyone? Perhaps, if they glance back, they’ll see how far out on the Far Right they actually stood & the evil psychopaths they were keeping company with. Perhaps, but probably not, it’s hard to see through the haze rising from the pools of self-righteous bile they’ve oozed from every orifice, for the last two years & there are walls of “The Science” they’re too small to see over.
I have a feeling, yes, in my waters, that they’ll get more chances to prove themselves dutiful servants of the 1%, sooner rather than later, so don’t you all put your jackboots away just yet, Georgi Sorrows has work for you to do, societies to destroy, lives to ruin, children to traumatise.
Happy Daze, now freeze to death in your pods, peasants & eat the bugs, we need to keep the climate from changing, ever again.
      Amen.

        Tldr:

        K. has no idea how it feels to be a child, prefers their own pompous ramblings instead.

        Have a nice weekend.

          1. The Millie Obnoxious™

You should go back to trailing around after Bodger, Pat Mustard Harney. It’s a better look for you.
