A grim statistic on Dublin’s loss of venues. Would like to think that if given the choice today DCC wouldn’t change the use of the Pod complex, and that Culture Dept might have a say too. Tripod, Pod, Crawdaddy all gone in one go. For what, a bunch of offices and vacant spaces? https://t.co/2aBRFyZ8Vp

These are all commercial venues. What do they mean by “non-commercial”?
Its even worse if you go further back. Dublin has gone from 100~ late night venues in 2002 to 30 odd now. Its all rather depressing.
The entire inner city is going to be hotels and office blocks within a decade.
And sure wont the young people go virtual clubbing in the metaverse then? Impressing the ladies with their massive non fungible tokens, and the like?
Is that token non-fungible or are you just pleased to see me?
Tell me the Manhattan on Kelly’s Corner is still on the go, right?
